The last 48 hours or so I've been getting urges to go to the toilet and poop really regularly (even during the night). So regularly that there isn't really much there to poop out anymore! And when I do, they're quite loose and yellowish (sorry TMI).

Everything I've read says this is an early sign of labour, but I don't have any other signs and it's a bit too early for me yet! So, any ideas what this could be? I feel well otherwise so I'm not sure it's a bug or anything...just an urgency to poop nothing!

I'm still in second tri, but I get this usually at the same time I've had some pretty rough braxton hicks, so guess it's all related! I suspect the bowles get irritated by the contractions as everything is squished up and then causes the poops! My MW said it is something you might get as a sign of early labour, might be worth giving her a call if your worried?

Do you feel ok otherwise, no bad tummy??
You might just have picked up a Winter bug...or it could be something more.
As OP said, call your MW and have a chat with them!
Let us know how you get on
xx

I've been feeling like I need to go ALOT this weekend but I think it's all the pressure on me thats making me feel like that. I'm seeing the midwife later so I may ask!

I have been having this too. No poorly tummy pains, no braxton hicks for days, just loose stools quite often...
No idea what's causing it!

This is very similar to me ... i am 35 weeks and over the last few days i have been going to the loo quite a bit and things are rather loose shall we say. I must have gone to the loo about 5 times each day over the weekend. I have had alot of movement from bump so maybe that is what is causing it or maybe i just picked up a bug. It seems to have gone off abit today though so maybe its just a sypmtom of being pregnant and the movements.

if anyone asks their midwife about this, can you let me know (i am not seeing mine for another week or so)

I'm 36 weeks and have been getting this for a week. I read up about it and OH was saying he read it's a sign of early labour, but JUST that isn't enough to make it early labour, and that can happen up to 3-4 weeks before labour really happens. I usually go once every 3 days, number 2-wise, so going daily is like having the runs to me, let alone like the 4 times a day and a few times in the night I'm going, and Oh said it smelt like baby sick in the bathroom after!

Think it's just our tummy's reacting to the hormones?

Thanks guys, although it's not very nice it's good to know there are some others at similar weeks to me with the same symptoms!

If anyone gets to their midwife before me (Thursday) can you report back please?

xx
