36+5, 4cm dilated, 80% effaced, 0 station...how long?

Went to the OB yesterday and got the news im 4+ cm dilated, 80% effaced and 0 station. He said he would be surprised if he saw me next week for my appt. They all say that tho...Anybody else been in that boat and stayed that way for weeks?

I would be okay with that actually! As long as im not walking around for 3 weeks, a week would be fine for me! I still have some last minute shopping to do this weekend anyway! Thanks

I was told at 36 weeks that I'd be lucky if I made it to 37 weeks. I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow and still haven't had the kiddo. I've been pretty thoroughly effaced with baby so far down the midwife doesn't understand how it's not triggering productive contractions and putting me into labor since 36.

Sometimes, baby can just be stubborn.

I think I may be leaking fluid! Im going to post another thread as this is new to me and im not sure if i am over reacting. Im planning on calling the doc at 9am when they open. I woke up this morning and was super wet. TMI. It wasn't on my sheets or anything but it was just weird. I didn't really feel much wetness after that but it just seemed weird. At first i thought i was bleeding because it wasn't like a gush it was just wetness. I was induced with my daughter and had a total break with my son so im not sure..anyone else?

I saw your other thread and its new to me as well as I have only had my whole waters break. I thought I was leaking at one point but it was discharge. All they do is use a swab to tell if it is.

update: it.was.pee. no water breaking and no more progression. He said it will probably not change from here on out. Maybe some more effacement but thats it...will this kid ever come?!!?

Sure was lady around last year at 5cm for a good 4 weeks.
