36 TTC number 1, testing Aug 22nd anyone else with me?

I usually ovulate 48 hours after the first OPK, but this time I have temp rise but negative opks. I guess i am out this cycle too.

Hello; I'm new here..I'm 38, dh is 34 and we are ttc my 3rd and his first. This is our 4th month ttc and we've used Preseed this month for the first time; it was awesome! So natural feeling! I don't normally ever have ewcm but I sure did this month! We had a wonderful 2 weeks of bd'ing including my ov time (using opk's and temping) now he's gone back to work for 2 weeks and I'm on the tww! Dpo 5 today and I would like to test on dpo 8 (Aug 22). I don't have a lot of hope because every month I'm 'sure' i'm pregnant only to get my heart crushed when af arrives. If it doesn't work this month we will not have another opportunity to try until around January because dh works out of town and his schedule is changing starting sept 1.

Btw, does anyone every use their opk's until they turn back negative? I did and got 5 days worth of dark red positives! Anyone else? Normal??

Wow, 5 days of +opk is rare. I have 3 days of +opk since I ovulate 48 hours after the first one.

What's the brand and is this the first time you are using? Have you ever had 5 days of +opk before with this brand? Did you reconfirm with a digital?

I usually reconfirm with a digital if i see ambiguous test line on the internet cheapies.

Interesting....I've never thought to use a digital opk...for that matter, I've never even seen one! I usually do get a few days worth of pos opk's, then give up after 2 or 3 days. This month I wanted to do the whole thing to see when it goes down. The brand I've been using is first response opk. I like them because they are super quick! I tried the drug store brand but my god they take forever! I'm also charting....chart is super wierd this month...Normally have a decent ov spike and high temps until af; this month, subpar spike, then coverline, then dip below, then litle rise, then little higher, then little higher, and today, 7dpo dip below coverline again!! Honestly, this has never happened before. My charts are so easy to read usually! My biggest fear is I will become menopausal before we get a chance to concieve...

Well...here's an update.....I have been away on holiday for a few days so I didn't get round to testing on 22nd.... AF didn't show up and I had a couple of pg symtoms. I was therefore getting my hopes up. Still no AF 2 days after she was due.....then 3 days late I got really sharp pains in the stomach and the has arrived. I thought this was to be my lucky month but obviously not. Here's to next month....

How did the rest of you get on?? Did anyone get a BFP and can share some tips??

AF showed up on 21st , so onto next month for me too

It's just not fair!! Af is due in 3 days for me, but I really think I'm out. We won't have another opportunity to try again until January, maybe, due to dh's work schedule. I realize that af is not here yet and I could very well still be in, but I really really feel that it's not going to happen. By this time of the cycle, I am usually grasping at every straw I can think of and I'm just tired of the false hope I put myself through every month. The bfn's just reinforce this every day. I'm so sad. Sorry if I bummed anyone out with my negativity..

we are on our two year mark and still no besidis in feb. but that doesn't count anymore wishing everyone their really soon...nice christmas gift! don't you agree!
