anyone out there starting again at around 37? My youngest is 7 and my new dp is only 31. I'm scared doing it all again and really can't wait for my 20 week scan to make sure everything is ok. Really struggling with tiredness and ligament pain this time but not sure if that's my age, number of pregnancies or the fact i work full time.
nearly 18 weeks x

I got you beat lol. I have two children, aged 20 and 18. I am 41 years old and pregnant with a baby girl. MASSIVE age gap.

I'll be 44 when my baby is born, DD will be 13....I was trying for a while though...

Hi i am 35, (nearly 36) i'm pregnant with my 4th and have 3girls who are 15,16 &17. My eldest is over the moon my younger 2 are embarrassed and devastated!!!!

I will be 39 this month and my daughter is 14. I will not have to worry about an empty nest when she heads off to college in a few years. :flower:

I'm so excited and trying to avoid all the 'older mother 'statistics that scare you. feeling absolutely knackered this time round and paranoid about every little thing

Oh i know how you feel i am so scared something is going to go wrong, never crossed my mind when i was younger. My 12wk scan is at 330pm this afternoon, i have not slept for nights. Been so ill with migraine and sickness since last week hope if everything is ok this afternoon they might ease off or calm down a bit.

Hi Joea, you say your youngest is 7yr does that mean you have more children???

Hi there, I'm on number 5 and my youngest is 8 and eldest 13 never thought I'd be in this position as we were told not possible ( 8 yrs alone then met oh) as had tube removed. One cycle later I was pregnant!! Am currently 24 weeks and sooooo excited! Good luck to all you lovely ladies! Xxxx

Just turned 40 two days ago and my baby is 21 also have a 22 and 24 (step daughter) am 30 weeks with a son. everything is way different this time feel everything and am so tired. Cant imagine how i would tell people to enjoy this. Also worry alot more than when younger but getting excited instead of devastated. This will be only one with my hubby.

Hi there, I'm 38 with a 13 yo daughter who is over the moon about this baby. Agree, more worried but feel more experienced than the first time around. Believe it or not, petrified of labor again. Lol I knew nothing at 24! :)

My DH is just turned 31 and I turned 38 last week. I have an 18 year old DD from a previous relationship so there is a massive age gap... she is soooo excited to have a little sister.

It feels weird starting all over again and I dont remember a lot of what my pregnancy was like the first time around. Also, not remembering much about being in labour either but im sure that I will find out what it was like again sooner or later! xx

I'm 40 with a 20yr old ds from previous relatuonship and a 20 month old dd with oh and 8 months pregnant with my last!!! Cant wait to get my body back & feel normal again!!!

I just turned 44 and am 9+3 with #3. My daughter is 24 (will be 25 in March), and my son turned 21 in September. I've been with my SO for 2 years now, and had one time last year where i had a heavier than normal period that started 2-3 weeks late, but never thought much about it. I figured since I'm getting older, I was starting to get the irregular periods that come with peri-menopause.

Not sure exactly how I feel about starting over again. No one but SO knows yet and I'm afraid to tell anyone. This was definitely a surprise because SO had a vasectomy 17 years ago! He admits though to not following through to make sure it took hold! :dohh:

I am waiting for my insurance to kick in before heading to the doctor to make sure everything is fine...

Good luck to you!
Dawn

hi, when i had charlie ( now 19mth) id just turned 40and i got married to his dad when he was 4wks old i have a son 16 and adaughter 11 from my 1st marriage and hubby had 4 kids from age 10 to 19from his 1st, 2 of who live with us, my house is always crazy.
it was my hardest pregnancy, health worries for me and babe and i was soooooo tired right from day1, i did worry alot more aswell but that could be because google and internet wasnt around when i was pregnant before!!!

my son was mortified when i told him i was pregnant, dont think he could believe his mum even had sex and when he found out his best friends mum was my midwife it was the end of the world when he realised she would see my bits!!! lol
we wouldnt bewithout charlie for the world now, he has completed our family totally and having older kids who want to help with baths and feeds and cuddles is great, being able to ask someone to take him while i have a shower or whatever issomething i never had before, i have more time, more patience and maybe even more love than i had with the others, hes definately my last and im making the most of every minute i have that he stays small, im not wishing his milestones away too quickly because as ive learnt with the others that in a blink of an eye they will be at school, then college, driving, leaving home. also i never feel like im missing out on anything, ive had every girls night out ive wanted, weve travelled, been to clubs and pubs and we can do it all again if we want to in a few years. 40 something is a great age for a baby!!!!!!!! good luck girls with all your babies, hoping you all get happy healthy pregnacies

I love this topic! Makes me feel not so alone. I have a 13 year old from my first marriage. My hubby is 31, I'm 43. We have an 18 month old and now another on the way. I feel VERY blessed. :)
