38 and thinking about IVF

I'm 38 have had 2 mc (after the birth of my ds who is 2 1/2) and have been on clomid for the past 2 cycles with no luck. I'm thinking that because of my age if I really want #2 that I may need to look to IVF. But the expense is high - especially since my last two pregnancies have ended up as mc. Anybody else with a similar situation? Any success stories? Advice?

I'm in a similar situation with 2 mc and my doctor wants to try IVF, pre-testing the embryos before transfer.

I'm really hesitant to go that route, however, because tests carried out on the embryo after my last mc came back completely 'normal.' So, pre-testing could eliminate the risk of some genetic problems, but it clearly won't prevent me from miscarrying again. The embryo we conceived naturally would have passed all of their tests...

Yah that's the route I am thinking of going on. But it's such a high risk.
