Hi as the title says.

I'm 38 weeks and have been really regular up until now, I was going every day no problems sometimes twice.

Now all of a sudden I'm blocked up,and literally a little rabbit dropping comes out (tmi 😳) and that's it.

Anyone know what I can take or do to get it going it's been 2 days now, I'm bloated and uncomfortable as it is! Xx

Lactulose is safe yo use in pregnancy. You need to drink a big glass of water with it and expect a lot of gas, but it works!

I have found prune juice works well for me I drink about 150ml daily. It makes me abit gassy some days but I can put up with that :)

I did use fybogel which worked but found drinking so much liquid got harder and made me sick so now just stick with prune juice.

My doctor told me Miralax is safe, but I found drinking a 6oz glass of prune juice at night, right before bed gets things moving by morning.

Ooh lovely, I ate a banana and some blueberries earlier, which have done the trick a little bit as in I've been, but it was more of a token gesture poo, enough to make me a bit more comfortable. I'm wondering if I'm gearing up for the big clear out.

Sorry about all the TMI going on there. Thanks for the advice xx

I would drink lots if water and avoid white pasta, bread and rice, and eat more fruit and veg. Fingers crossed for the clear out!

I did the whole eat a whole pineapplethibg - didn't induce labour at all but made me have lots of much softer bowel movements that day so was worth it just for that! Also find mango is good! But, bananas I avoid as I heard they 'bind' you...they are meant to be good following diarrhoea!

Loads of water, fruits, ground flax seed does that trick for me.

I am in the same boat as you lately! It's been quite often and 'loose' since I hit the 3rd tri (sorry tmi!!) but since I hit 38 weeks I'm suddenly having a hard time going. I eat a lot of fresh fruit, drink water constantly, and I have oatmeal with flax every morning and none of these things have helped! I've even started drinking 2 small cups of decaf coffee hoping that would do the trick but nope. Hopefully you'll find something that works for you!

Yeah I eat lots of fresh fruit and veg too, though I know I probably don't drink enough.

I upped my fluid intake today and gave since been again! Which I'm relieved about.

Bananas and apples apparantly help bind you back up if loose stool, but for some reason for me bananas always make me go, as does peanut butter! Xx
