Hello Ladies :)

I had my 38 week cheek up today and all is well
I havnt really exsperienced any BH or any kinda pains other than back pains.
Today my MW said that baby was 3/5 & baby hasnt really moved since I last saw her 2 weeks ago.

Im really scared I am going to have to be induced and this really scares me as I have heard alot of bad stories.
Generaly going over due scares me as alot of of people I know have had problems or have lost their baby due to being left too long.

would anyone like to share their induction storied with me..?

Hiya, I've never been induced so havent got any experience of it but I also am 38 weeks and scared of going overdue.
I had a c-section with my first, natural with my 2nd, this labour is planned for natural too but have been told if I havent had her by 41 weeks they will induce me - eekk!
I've tried everything to help her out but nothings working, babies really do come when theyre ready lol
I'm sure we'll be fine tho and baby will come on time :) x

I was induced all 3 times at 38 weeks and had successful vaginal births, my last 2 babies were such easy labours, with just G&A and no stitches. Although I havent experienced a 'natural/spontaneous' labour, it wasnt that painful, no more than I imagined it would be anyway. xx

Thats good to hear :flower:

I was planning to have a completely natural water birth but if they are going to induce me i do not think they will let me have my water birth.. I think i am more scared as this is my first and have absoloutly no idea what to exspect at all.. xx

My due date is tomorrow but I'll be induced on 2nd October if I don't go myself before then. I don't want to be induced either as I've only heard bad stories, often they seem to turn into marathon labours which end in a c section. My mum was induced with me though, she said it made her sick but from getting her waters broken/put on a drip the labour was 5 hours. Hopefully we won't need induced but if it's necessary then I'm sure we'll cope, good luck!

The midwife told me yesterday that if the pessaries work - which is what you get first during an induction - you can labour and deliver in the home from
home unit, which has a birthing pool, so I assume a water birth is still possible if you just need the pessaries. With DS the pool didn't help me much, in fact I think it slowed things down, this time I'll probably be looking for stronger drugs than gas and air too. But everyone's different and you may find the pool to be brilliant. Try not to worry about the birth, it is fear of the unknown first time, though I'm worried this time too as I have an idea of what to expect, although every birth is different.

Yeah I must admit my mum was induced with me and my mum had a pritty bad exsperience of being induced. The after birth never came out my mum lost lots off blood and was rushed to thearta straight after having me. I hope that i have a nicer exsperience than this.

I hope my baby decides to come on its own i do still have 2 weeks left so fingers crossed... x

I was induced with my third all went really well had a vaginal birth. Dont be afraid its really not that bad.
