4 Days Late...1 Faint positive, now negatives...anyone else?

Hi Girls! I have been reading everyone's posts for about 2 weeks now but am just posting my first post today hoping someone has some input...so confused and kind of bumming right now . (don't mind me if I don't use all the abbreviations...I'm not too familiar with all of them yet!)

I have never tracked my period before and usually go off of my friend at work lol I am usually a week after hers. Anyways so my period was due around 9/21, and I am 4 days late. This is my husband and I's first month TTC so of course now I am keeping track of everything! OK, so got all the PMS type symptons, felt like I was going to start flowing at the end of last week, and nothing! I did have watery pinkish spotting a few days before my period was due so I was hoping that was IB. I took a FR test last Friday (when I was 2 days late) and got a faint positive. Now it's Sunday and I took another one this morning and got an even fainter line (i think it was a line ) - I was upset it wasn't darker so my hubby went out and bought an EPT digital and it came up as "not-pregnant". So confused. I was excited with the first test (what happened to the whole a line is a line??) I don't know..now what? No period and now this negative test. What do you do now...do I wait to get my period? Do I go to the dr? Any input or similar stories please help! thanks so much!

I'm 5days late with bfn's & no period. From what I've heard digitals are not as sensitive as FRERS so they might not show up BFP's untill much later. Always pick a sensitive FRER first then try a digital when much later. You could go to doctors and ask for a blood test as that picks up the smallest amount of pregnancy hormone in your blood, sometimes it takes afew days for the hormone to reach your pee. (Oh and the most sensitive you can buy is 10 miu/ml I think). And I've heard that cheap internet tests are not so good either.

Well the first test I used when I got the faint positive was a FRER so that's why I was so hopeful, but now today I have been spotting a few times light brownish when I wipe and have slight cramping so I'm wondering if my period is now on it's way. Is this what's considered a chemical pregnancy? If I do end up getting my period? I'm trying not to let it get to me since it is our first month, but I just got excited when I saw the line...what a tease. So what is your next step? Are you just waiting for either your period or a BFP? That's all we can do right...just wait. GL to you!!

the best test i can tell u to use right now would be a new choice from dollar tree or ur dollar store..they work very well..

Not sure about chemical pregnancies.... try posting a new thread as many girls on here will be able to answer that question. Your spotting could be down to implantaion bleeding where the egg burrows into the womb. This may of happened afew dayws ago if the blood is brown and you saw a line on your FRER.

Yeah, I'm just dancing around in limbo wondering what on earth is going on. I took another internet cheapie test and was sure I saw something, but now reckon I scratched it with my nail as the line isn't very pink. And I took another with the same sample and that was BFN. Today is cycle day 39, I've only ever had one other cycle this long before and I started bleeding on cycle day 39. So if I make it past today with no AF I will start to get my hopes a little higher for a bfp.

thanks guys...I posted my update on another thread, but I got my period this morning I'm kinda upset. I think I wouldn't have been this upset if I didn't get that faint positive...oh boy. What can I do...just get ready for next month I guess!

Wow, 39 days is a long cycle! Mine was 34 this month and I think that's typically long for me, although I've never kept track before so now I don't even really know. I hope you make it past day 39 with no AF in site! Keep us posted and GL!
