hi everyone, my LO was born at 32 weeks, 5lb 4oz(i am diabetic type 1), she was kept in scbu for 3 weeks before we were aloud to bring her home. when we left the hostpital they told us not to let LO go more than 4 hours between feeds, i was wondering at what age can we let her go more than four hours. at the moment she weighs 6lb 11oz and feeds really well on the bottle but we do have to regulary wake her up for a feed, when she would proberley sleep for another hour.

I know when LO hit about 8-9lb we were told to let her do what she wanted at night, but kept to our 3 hourly feeds any other time. Perhaps you could ask your HV or the neonatal unit

hmmm when Ella was on bottle feeds she was demand fed but they wouldnt let her go over 6hrs without a feed but she always woke after 3-4hrs anyway and still does now with NG tube in, perhaps have a word with health visitor coz i'd imagine your baby will be wanting to go longer inbetween feeds now bubs is getting older xx
