4 weeks old, feeding every 2 hours??

My baby will be 4 weeks old on Thursday and for the last 2 days he has wanted to feed every 2 hours. He is taking between 3 - 4 oz each feed and is seldom sick so he does keep most of it down. This seems like a lot to me but I don't know what else to do other than just feed him!?? When it comes to 2hrs since his last feed he acts like he is starving with the fist sucking and head shaking and nothing else will pacify him except a bottle. Is there anything else I could or should be doing or does this all seem normal?

That sounds normal. At his age, my LO was also drinking every 2 hours during the day, although she was drinking less, more like 1 1/2-2 oz.

My lil man is exactly the same, he started wanting food sometimes straight after a bottle but by 2hours he's acting like he's starving lol. He however is very sicky so I can understand him getting hungry quicker. Our babies were born the same day

2 hrs apart totally normal at 4 weeks - had lots of questions for hv and mw about ff and they all said, yep, newborns feed A LOT!!!

It does seem normal, both of mine fed like that and sometimes every hour to start with. My 10 month old has fed every couple of hours today (only 2oz at a time) he has been unwell last week though so i guess its his comfort now, and since he hasn't had much fluid in the past week i've just let him get on with it. It doesn't last forever, all babies are different and whilst some do go 4 hours or so alot don't, their stomachs are still tiny and need filling regularly. x

Oh very, very normal. My LO fed every 2 hours at that age and took about 2.5-3 ounces per feed. Just feed on demand. LO will let you know when he's full!
