i found out 100% today i am preggo...if going by my lmp i should be 7 weeks 1 day but i am going by when i ovulated (well temp shifted) so i am 4 weks 6 days....Approx...i am 19dpo and getting faint lines since 10dpo....had spotting on sunday (15dpo) which i though was af....but carried on testing and at 17dpo tested wi a cb digi and it was negative...tested this morning cb digi 19dpo and PREGGO!!!! yay...

Hey, my normal cycle is 26 days and i think i ovulated on the 23rd april give or take a few days.

really confused as to what dpo stands for, am i just dumb?!! i think the midwife will make me feel so much better about everything. ive heard so many bad stories that im worrying about everything. getting pain in my abdomen and my mum just laughed and said i had wind!! lol. so sorry in advance if i get on peoples nerves with all the questions!! this is the first time this has happened to me ever! eek!! xx

Hi Mary,
You sound exactly like you're in the same boat as I am! I'm also the most impatient person in the world so this 9 months is going to drag on and on! You can see why the whole counting thing is confusing depending if you count from dpo or when the baby is likely to have been conceived. That is why they invented the LMP. You start counting from the first day of your last menstrual period. So 7 days after the first day of your period, you are 1 week pregnant. So because of this way of keeping track, you actually aren't pregnant for your first 2 weeks. This is probably why your mom thinks your 2 weeks pregnant (she means 2 weeks gestation). So even though your pregnancy is 40 weeks long, you're actually only pregnant (gestating) for 38 of those. So you are 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant. My last period was April 10th so you are exactly 4 days behind me in pregnancy. It doesn't really matter when you ovulated or how long your cycle is since this method of counting is the widely accepted one. I guess this is why due dates are rarely exact. You may have a due date based on your LMP but depending on when you ovulated, someone else may have had the same date as your LMP but ovulated sooner or later so be a few days more or less pregnant than you!

Congrats! I found out I was pregnant a day before AF was to show, so that weekend the b/f and I couldn't wait...we had told the family! lol I believe I was fresh at 4 weeks!

im so glad there are lots of others on here exactly the same number of weeks gone (+/- a couple of days). im sure im doing my mums head in with all the baby talk, shes got a long 4 months ahead of her till i move out, lol.

i wish i didnt have to live at home, but with my OH living in germany we wont get a house from the army until were married. gonna be seeing him this weekend and im so excited!!

my grandma and grandad know and they are in complete shock and dont want to be great grandparents! lol. my brother and his fiance are overly excited as they really want a baby but cant afford it at the mo and they want one after they are married so have been nagging me to have one! lol. i think i will tell a few of my friends too aslong as they dont post it all over facebook! i cant wait til 12 weeks!! x

I am 4 weeks just found out today after having suffered from the flu. I am mum I have given birth 2 times normally but sadly my 1st baby was stillborn and my 3rd had to be c-section as I got started early. February this year I miscarried and now I am 4wks gone I hope this baby will be strong. I am hoping for a girl but not bothered if I have another boy as I love the two I have got. It is a hard time waiting for the 12wk stage. I phoned for appointment with the midwife at my doctors and got told phone back when u are 7-8 wks. It's so frustrating knowing what you have experienced in the past

Congrats and have you tried phoning your early pregnancy assessment unit? After I had my 2nd mmc I was told Ill be able to have weekly scans if I wish and they'll keep a closer eye on me.

i mentioned to the receptionist when i rang the clinic that i had only just missed my period so was only about 4 weeks gone and she still booked me in with the midwife for monday! will only be just short of 5 weeks then. im not waiting any longer tho, i need to talk to set my mind straight!

i am 4+6 i think (LMP 8.4.11) According to my preg wheel i am 5 wks tomorrow. GP system gave me EDD 13.1.11

i am waiting for 6wk scan as had a ectopic in Feb so need to be checked early on.

Not really had any symptoms... well i have just diff ones from last time i suppose. Im starving all the time! Tired in evenings++ Boiling all the bloody time, or freezing! thats about it really otherwise i feel ok, AF cramps but they seem to be easing. bit hard to get excited at the moment but fx'd

Had HGG checked yesterday it was 1145 (i checked at work today) but im not sure if this is god for 4wks? all i know is over 4 is pregnan! lol. I really want twins!! hehe!! THis is a Clomid baby so there is a chance! Guna recheck tomorrow to see if they are doubling.

Great Thread will be lovely to have so many ppl to talk to. Im a midwife so usually have most the answers but when it comes to this early on im kinda clueless, lol, Midwife head is out the window when it comes to my bean! lol

morning ladies!!

eugh, i feel so sick this morning! lots of saliva, mm nice. i hate being sick and hoping its stays as nausea - i cant do this for 12 weeks! im supposed to be driving down south today but i dont want to have to stop on the side of the road to puck my guts up. boo. might have to find a female potty too just in case!! and these vitamin tablets, they are doing random things to my gut, horrible!! are they really worth it?!

So far I have metal mouth quite a bit, I'm not really hungry at all, I've been going to bed earlier or I fall asleep on the settee, and I have slight cramps, they're like somewhere between cramps and the stitch you get from running.....

Add vivid dreams and waking up between 6.30 and 7.30 every morning so far, I usually struggle to get up at 8, now I'm wide awake every morning.

I think I'll wait till after the weekend before I think about calling the docs.

dreams! omg how bizzare. mine last night was so vivid and random, I could write a book on my mental dreams! im also the same with waking up really early. i didnt go to bed til about 1am and then wide awake at 8am. normally i wont get up til midday when i dont have anything planned!! lol.

Morning ladies,

Shirelass im the same.. god i am sleeping terrible, bloody cooking int he night, i was up at 4 to pee, (annoying!) and then awake at like 7 half 7 finally up at half8 yet usually alarm at 8 is flying our the window!
And the DREAMS!!!!! they are so vivid and sooooo weird!! although this morning i did wake up just after having a visit from my nan (13yrs passed) i woke up crying them wanted to cry more when i thought about it.

THis part of the dream is actually comforting to me as i belive the dead visit in your dreams, my nan does over the yrs, in them she is never 'alive' and i can not usually reach her but today she gave me a massive hug!!!

And last night a medium told me that a tall man likely grandad (my gr8 grandad was very tall) was stood behind me and protect me.!

That all sounds like im a crazy person but i miss them all and i hope they are looking after my ectopic bean and protecting this one! Im soo scared to start feeling happy!

As for other symptoms... STARVING!! is haunting me, nausea comes about 2200hrs.. annoying, or when i just finished dineer as if to say you stuff one more mouthful in and its defo coming back up! nice!!

Had HCG done wed, ws 1145 so having it done again tomorrow.... waiting for USS which is driving me mad!!

Have a nicr day ladies, sory to waffle so early, its my day off im home alone and sat half naked cuz im soooo bloody hot with not a lot to do ! Lol

oh im definitely starting with the symptoms. i currently want to chop my boobs off!! i hate sleeping in a bra but it seems to be more comfortable atm. just eaten about half a pack of dry crackers to try and ease the ms which it seems to have a little gonna have a little nap before getting up properly i think altho got a very busy day, i just cant be arsed at the mo tho.
