For any of you ladies worrying about how much you weigh when ttc let me tell you a bit about my story.

I came off the depo injection after 4 and a half years. Got my period back in less than 2 months and was pregnant within 6.

When I started ttc I tried to do everything right. Took pregnacare, gave up alcohol, ate healthily - the lot - but nothing happened.

When I started being myself again it happened! I had even put a stone in weight on.

When I fell pregnant I was 20 stone and 6lbs.

I have since lost 2 and a half stone through morning sickness and much smaller appetite - and I do feel a lot more healthy for it - but please don't think that it will never happen for you because of your weight.

Apart from the fairly severe morning sickness which lasted unil I was about 21/22wks, I have had absolutely no problems through my pregnancy.

Keep your chins up ladies and just be yourselves - trying to be something you are not will only stress you out and make conceiving less likely.

Good luck!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for the kind words!!! Congrats on your :bfp:!!! You said you went back to being yourself, were you temping? charting or anything like that while being yourself? lol

I'm with you big betty. The best way to make a baby is to stay relaxed and be yourself. The stress can really wreak havoc on your system. Congrats on the pg hope and you continue to have a healthy and wonderful pg.

Anybody on here testing anytime soon? I'm not but it's such an exciting time when you get to the end of the tww and start testing and find out if you're pg.

I also wanted to tell razcox I just love your dogs. I have never seen that breed before but they are absolutely gorgeous.

I didn't do anything but :sex: hahahaha! Oh and put a pillow under my bum afterwards!

By being myself I meant just enjoying myself and letting my hair down, in fact I got rather drunk before I tested but it must have been after I conceived!!!

How is everyone doing?!?

So I think I am in the TWW right now. According to FF I am 5dpo but my temps are not the greatest. I never seem t get a significant rise in temps and I think it may be the PCOS causing it...who knows.
Keeping my fingers crossed, since this cycle we have definitely :sex: at the right times

Hi! I would love to join you all!! I have been reading this thread for about an hour now and this feels like exactly where I need to be! A little bit about me................

My name is Brandy, and I am 33yrs old. I have an AMAZING husband and a 4yr old son. I have been on Merina for the last 4yrs 8mths and will be getting it taken out next month. Pre Zachary(4yr old), I weighed 185lbs. Shortly after having him I had the Merina put in and gained 110lbs over the couse of the last 4yrs. I have type 2 diabetes which I control with insulin and diet. Between the Merina and my insulin resistance it has been near impossible to lose weight. I feel like if I dont go ahead and try for baby #2 that it is never going to happen. So, even though I weigh almost 300lbs, we are going to start TTC as soon as my IUD is removed. I had gestational diabetes with my son, and took insulin during my pregnancy, and had no complications at all. I have never had BP issues, so my DR says that as long as I continue to monitor and take care of my diabetes that I should have no problem conceiving and having a healthy baby! Anyway, that is my story! I can't wait to share my TTC journey with all of you! Here is hoping for a :bfp: for New Years!!

Congratulations on you BFP GW76! :happydance:

Keep us updated.

Much love sending your way.

x

Well the BFP lasted all of 2 days - looks like it is an early mc - on to the next cycle...

gl to all :-)

Aw sorry to hear that gw76 - good luck for next time!

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I have a thread in the pregnancy section of groups&discussions called "any big momma's out there?"

I started it when I got my bfp and now there are a fabulous group of ladies who chat, rant and ask each others advice.

Most of us are already pregnant but really it's there to support big ladies at any stage - just like this thread - and all of you are welcome to pop over and contribute.

I get a lot of comfort from threads such as these - it's nice to know there are other women out there who understand what I'm going through.

Morning all how is everyone today? Looks like another drab day here in Shropshire not that it matters much as i am stuck in an office all day!

Have you had your thyroid checked?

Hi girls! I hope this post finds you all well.

I tested this morning and got a bfn. It's still early for me (likely 10dpo, maybe 11) and since this is just our first cycle ntnp, I'm not upset. Now I'll just wait for AF (expecting her sometime this weekend). If she doesn't show by next Tuesday I'll test again next week.

Oh, and speaking of thyroid testing. I had mine tested a few weeks ago and it appears I may have subclinical hypothyroidism. My hormone levels were within what's considered "normal range" in the US (TSH was 2.61 if memory serves & all other values were "normal" as well) but I've read when TTC it's best if the TSH level is under 2.0. I'm not super alarmed by it since it wasn't crazy high but I don't know if this will be an issue for me. I guess we'll see. Just thought I'd throw it out there. :flower:

:dust:

I'm not sure what my numbers were when I was tested... I was told they were fine but didn't get specific numbers. Maybe I'll get those from the DR... sometimes what they think is OK maybe not be what I consider OK. My temp runs low- it always has... that's why I keep worrying that maybe I have a thyroid issue.

I'm at 4DPO today... BUT, that is just basing off previous cycles. If I were to base off of this month’s symptoms (ov cramping, EWCM, etc) I'd guess I ovulated a few days early for me... which would put me at 6DPO. I want to test NOW but know it is way to early to start that. My goal is to wait until the 14th which would put me at 14DPO the date I think I might have actually ovulated. Though I normally have a 16 day luteal phase so of course if I get a BFN I'll still be thinking I might have tested too early! Lol

hey ladies.. 17 dpo trying not to lose my mind..got a faint positive yesterday and two bfns this morning

Wow Vrainoire! Do you temp? If so, are they still high? And... can you go in for a blood test?

You should see if you can get in to get it confirmed with a blood test... typically you can do a follow-up 2 days later to make sure the numbers are doubling. then you wont have to worry about the stupid pee tests... lol

Hello everyone! I just wanted to update: I got my :bfp: on the 3rd and was confirmed by the doctor on the 4th. Only about 3 weeks along. :happydance:

Baby dust for everyone!!!!!
