Hi Girls,

I've been advised to start taking vitamin supplements by the Hospital but I went to Boots today and got thoroughly overwhelmed by the vast selection there.

Has anyone got any recommendations for pre-conception vitamins?

PS lost 5 lbs this week

Congrats on the 5 lbs lost !!!

Well, I am a "big girl" and got my BFP today. I am probably 60 lbs overweight right now - due to first pregnancy and a really rough time afterwards - postpartum depression, torn achilles - not being able to exercise etc. I was in hospital in August for a procedure - my blood pressure is perfect, all my blood work was perfect - so...

I wish you all good luck and hope everyone gets their BFP!!!

Congratulations on you BFP GW76! :happydance:

Keep us updated.

Much love sending your way.

I have the folic acid (with calcium and vit d) from home bargains. Think there's around 90 tablets for £2.49 (enough for one months course - 3 tablets a day). I also take other vits with that though but can't remember the name off the top of my head x

Please add me as a member of this group!!! I'm also a big girl and have struggled with weight my whole life, my husband and I have been trying to conceive for a little over a year now. We had our first appt with a fertiliy endocrinologist and she was GREAT!!!! She didn't dwell on my weight I'm going to have blood work done this week and hubby has to do a SA and then at the end of my period they will be doing an ultrasound of my ovaries, then on the 18th of this month we will go in to get our results and see what the next step is. Like I said she didn't dwell on the weight issue and after I brought it up she only said that possilby even losing 5-10% of your weight may help fertility issues and not to worry about dropping big numbers!!! I'm so happy that I have a great doctor that I am comfortable with and is very respectful and nice to her patients!!! Good luck to everyone, we WILL all be Mommy's one day!!!!!

Hi, I'm new.
I am overweight and currently 6 weeks pregnant. I've been battling my weight all my life. I was trying to lose before getting pregnant, and my doctor told me that while my weight was on the high side, he didn't see anything wrong with me getting pregnant and having a baby.

Hey Ladies I would like to join..I'm currently waiting for AF to arrive so i'm still in Cycle #3 TTC #1

MzItalian thanks for starting the weight(loss)maintaining(conditioning) encouraging portion of this thread!:happydance: Is there any information we need to submit? Or is there a certain program going on. I moved quickly through the back posts so I am not sure if I missed it. I am so down for it!

Hi Girls. I know this thread was in the TTC, but as it is a group and for both pregnant and those trying to conceive I've moved it to 'General Groups' :)
