.

well ladies im finally home.been at the docs since 11am and when i got home it was about 5 pm. i do have the flu and theres nothing they can do(ughhhhh) they also found out i have a small cyst on my left overy that there not sure if it ruptured or not but i did get to see the baby for a second and the tech said it shows the baby is about 7+5 or 6 so its growing good and the doc said the heart beat was normal to.. we didnt get to hear it or even see it but i will on the 24th

Good news with bad, but the good news is very good Sma! :)

So, I'm thinking my doula friend may be right and I'm almost 14 weeks, instead of almost 10 weeks...
Finding out on Saturday I guess!!

I have all the 13 week symptoms on every site I've checked - no nausea anymore, energy level is up, getting a clearish/creamy discharge in my underwear (definitely not a yeast infection, no worries). So we'll see!

yup but as long as baby is ok im not worried about me so im happy.

that would be so cool if u are further than u think. i wish that happend with me but it didnt lol. i havnt had any MS at all only smells bug me and now with having the flu i cant eat anything anyways

Being sick while pregnant is the WORST. Hope you start feeling better soon.:hugs:

so how does that work out if the baby poos in them does that mean theres only one part u take out and like rinse off ? i would hope thats how it is so the poo doesnt sit in them all day or whatever untill there washed.......what do you do if ure out in public and baby poos do u rinse it out in the sink or do u carry around a dirty diaper? ive never known any1 who has used these so im curious

<snip>

There are a few types of cloth diapers. The ones I'll have the most of are waterproof covers that have inserts. So, when the baby soils the diaper, you can just change the insert (scrape anything solid off the dirty insert into the toilet & put it in the pail to be washed) and wipe out the cover and you've got a clean diaper. You can do that a couple times before changing the cover as long as it's not a super messy diaper.

There are also cloth diapers (called all-in-ones) that are just like disposables. You put it on and when they're dirty, you take it off and put it in the pail to be washed & put a clean diaper on baby.

Babies are usually in a clean diaper more often when in cloth diapers (to avoid leaks) so they're actually cleaner & less prone to diaper rash than babies in disposable diapers.

If you're out and about you can either carry a wet bag (that contains liquid & smell) & put dirty diapers in that or use disposable flushable inserts with a cover that you can just wipe out at each change.

I plan to use disposable diapers for the first couple of weeks & I'll likely use disposables when we're out and about because the thought of carrying around poop doesn't appeal to me & the disposable inserts are more expensive than disposable diapers. :haha:

Hi Girls, I'm new to all this so stay with me! I'm a overweight girl TTC. I think i ovulate reg and my cycle is always pretty much on time. I was just wondering how long some of you lovely plus size girls have taken to conceive?

Have you had any health related problems whilst pregnant high BP etc and what do they do if you do get high BP when preggers???
I'm so worried about getting pregnant and getting treated poorly because i'm overweight.
Any answers will be greatly appreciated, thanks girls xxx

I was 195 (at 5'4" - I had lost 80 pounds in the last 13 months) while TTC and we conceived the 1st cycle we actually tried (had about half a month NTNP the cycle before that).

I haven't had any health related problems during my pregnancy although I have let my eating get out of hand. I've gained too much weight (20 pounds and I'm only halfway) but my doctor didn't even bring it up at my last appointment (I did because I need to be accountable). I've finally gotten my weight gain under control (I hope) & I've started exercising again. I've had really great blood pressure (usually 105/60 or so) since I started eating healthier & exercising in September 2009. But since I've been pregnant it runs around 120/75 which is still fine just a bit higher than usual.

My OB has NEVER said ANYTHING about my weight (except when I brought up how much I had gained at my last appointment -- I wanted to ask if I could exercise the way I was before using common sense & reason instead of using that stupid "keep your heart rate below 140bpm" BS rule. She said I can do whatever I feel like doing, by the way.).

Edit: Oh, and just in case you're not in the US or familiar with pregnancy practices here, most women here use OBs instead of midwives. I don't go to an OB because of my weight or health. I go because that's what is most widely available & covered by my health insurance.

I had about a week or 2 reprieve from nausea around week 8-9. Thought it was over. WRONG! :haha: It ended up coming back with a vengeance for about another month. I've had discharge from the beginning and haven't noticed much of a change in it.

Every pregnancy is completely different and people's symtoms come and go at very different times.
Fx for you m/s stays gone though!

Yeah, I know there could be all kinds of things - but I'm kind of excited at the prospect of being further along! :)

Hiya, Thank you for your info. It helps to know what to expect, and puts my mind at rest.

I know alot of larger ladies do have perfectly normal pregnancies, but I do tend to worry and like to be prepared.

I think because my BP is slightly higher then normal, i'm worried about it going through the roof, I dont take anything for my bp, as its not that high. Do you know if you can take meds for high bp when pregnant?

I am trying to eat better and get exercise when possible, but it will take time.

Thanks again for the reply.

littlespy- thanks for that info, now i know u dont have to carry poo around with you all day if ure out. i didnt know there were all those differnt ones and ways of changing the pad things out and stuff....cool thanks for the info

Hello ladies it's been a while since i've been on here, i'm waiting to my cycle to regulate so i can properly TTC. I'm currently focusing on weight loss because since my 4 missed periods and wacky cycles i've gone up to 230 pounds i carry my weight differently so i look about 160 but all of my weight is in my belly, i don't like looking preggo and not being preggo.lol so i've decided to start temping but i can never remember in the mornings..lol anywho..ttyl

Hi Vrain I carry my weight well too, but it's been time to take it down many notches for me. lol We go through some similar things, I've noticed.

Hi Ladies - how is everyone?

i will be 9 weeks and a few days i guess they do them at my docs from 8-10 weeks for your fist prenatel app to check everything and get paperwork started. i seen bean for a few seconds the other day when i went into urgent care but didnt get pix or anything ...its felt like forever waiting for this comming ultrasound believe me but now i only have 5 more days to go!!!!

I had my appointment! My doctor is great, and very personable. I had to have blood taken, and pee in cups..
And I have an ultrasound next Monday!! Woohoo!

im wondering how mine is going to go because i know they make u pee in a cup but then im supposed to have a full bladder for the ultrasound and i need a paps too so im thinking either there going to have me pee in a cup then do the paps and drink water or get tricky only pee a little bit do the ultrasound then paps...i worry to much! i just want a really clear pic of little bean since the last time i seen it, it only looked like a dark blob.
