hiya ladies im new on here so thought id say hi, im jodie and due 17th may with my 1st, believed to be alil girl, i have booked a 4d scan for 11th feb when i will be 26+2 days and was wondering if anterior placenta will make it hard to have donw, any ladies had this and got pics to share? xx

I don't still have my pictures on here, but I was able to get 4D pictures with an anterior placenta. My pictures weren't as great as others I've seen, but she said it was because there wasn't a lot of fluid in front of her face, and not really because of the placenta.

thanks hun, i have been advised to drink alot of fluid to keep my levels up for few days before the scan as it can make it easier :) im hoping it will be ok but we seem to have a naughty baby and she always turns away on nhs scans when we have them hehe x

I had a 4d scan last weekend just to take a peek at baby and the tech was saying my placenta was in the way a lot of the time. Did get a couple cute shots of the face though. My placenta is anterior as well

Hey, mine is supposedly anterior, had a 4d scan at 16 weeks and it wasn't a problem - one of the pics is in my avatar, they didn't even mention it. Hoping it wont be an issue when i have my next one next Saturday, I hadn't actually thought about it! x

I had one at 27 weeks and it was no problem for me! Got really good pics

I had mine done in the same place as you, at 19 weeks. They're really good there, aren't they? I was really impressed. Fab photos!

WOW!!!!!! My God hun, you've certainly beaten all the obstacles haven't you!!! That's flippin amazing! This was sooooo meant to be! :cloud9:
Thats sort of our story really; except the only diff is, hubby has great sperm analysis and we were on the list for IVF; hadn't tried it, but fell naturally on a "non trying" cycle!!
If something is truely meant to be, there's no stopping the human body is there?!
I promise you, you'll feel SO bonded with your baby and you'll get brilliant pics at 26+2! It's amazing now when I feel her move.....I can picture her face! It's SO surreal! Considering, we BOTH thought at some point that we wouldn't ever get there......look where we are! Amazin! xxx

i know hun i feel soooo blessed, it truly was heartbreaking feeling i would never have that space in my life filled by my own child, but now as you say i have bonded so much with her already, i hold her at nights and feel her wriggle around, my opartner cant feel her yet due to anterior placenta, how would you recommend before the stork? they seem helpful on the phone, we are travelling from manchester to have it done, cant wait hoping we see her ok as i know the week after she may have a bit more fat on here bones lol xxx

It's amazing feeling them wriggling isn't it?! A feeling I How many weeks are you now then? My OH felt little one move rom around 23/24 weeks and now we watch my belly moving around like an alien! She REALLY thumps him now! It's amazing :cloud9: So even wil anterior placenta, don't worry, those moments still come  She was putting on a fantastic show last night at about 2am! I just HAD to wake him!!:rofl:

Before the stork were really lovely! If you can afford to, DEFFO go for the £95 package, as the DVD is amaaaaaazing and you have the freedom to print off your own pics and download them straight onto your PC with the CD Rom! The sonographers are both lovely; really chatty and totally know their stuff!! They also do a growth check (which a lot of 4d places won't do), also an amniotic fluid check and a weight check! It's amazing that, on my scan day she was already 2lb 3oz! :cloud9:
Honestly, you're going to LOVE it!!! LOVELY way to spend the day! I could have spent all day watching her! Eeeek, so excited for you! :flower:

awww ta hun soooo cant wait, im 33+4 now he still hasnt felt her as she is so very low down she seems to kick inwards rather than out :( we have gone pink mad now though , we had originally got all nuetral decor for nursery but we have now gone pink and lime greeen, a bit more stimulating :) glad your experience went well and hoping ours does too, she is so naughty tho haha x
