Please excuse me if i do something wrong as it is my first post. I guess i need opinions, insight, something. Im 16dpo today. Found out i was pregnant at 10dpo with a beta of 8.2, 14dpo 121.2. Great jump. Im trying to show progression with walmart cheapies but they just dont seem to be getting as dark as i thought they would. The reason as to my deep concern (and obsession) is i have been trying for 8 years and this is my 4th pregnancy in 11 months. 2 chemicals and 1 7 week loss, a baby girl with Trisomy 8 and Trisomy 21. So I am being sort of crazy lol. Any opinions?
Oh and for some reason the dr wont do any more betas.
(direction on how to post photo?)

First, congratulations! You are pregnant!

Second, you may find there are more women who can answer your questions over in the Pregnant After Loss forum. I'm on the Pregnant After Recurrent Loss thread and the women there are amazing.

Third, your feelings are very valid. I'm pg with what I hope is my rainbow #4 but I have many angel babies and I bleed in the first tri with my successes too so I know well the anxiety and fear that follows a woman with RMC issues in early pregnancy. Know you are not alone in feeling this way.

Four, stop testing. Hard as it is, put the hpts away. ESPECIALLY those walmart cheapies. For me personally, they show shadowy lines the earliest BUT they are crap for showing progression if that's what you are going for. However, if you want see better line progression, switch to a different brand test (I'd avoid the curved handle FRERs though...). I bought the FRER hpt/digi duo pack and those were the old style FRERs that show really nice lines.

Lastly, don't be afraid to ask/demand more testing or meds if YOU feel you need them. If another couple of blood draws will give you peace of mind, then go for it. There's no harm in having your arm stuck a few more times. I so dislike how some doctors won't put the patient's mental well-being first. I switched doctors 6 weeks into my pg with LO because my former one had started blaming me for my losses. She also wasn't supportive when I called terrified of yet another m/c because I was bleeding and she took alot of convincing to order an ultrasound because she thought I was miscarrying. I called my specialist and switched my OB care all over to him the very next day and I've seen him ever since. Having a supportive doctor is SO crucial.

Hope this novel of a reply helps in some small way and congrats again!

I can relate somewhat as I am also early into my fourth pregnancy - they've all occurred in the past 6 months as one was an early loss and the other two were chemicals. It is really scary and I can't imagine what it must be like to have been trying for as long as you have.

I'm not sure if you have seen this website but I'm finding it a little reassuring: https://www.betabase.info/chart/basic/single. I *think* I'm at 10DPO today and my beta was 18.

I agree with dairymomma that given your circumstances, it is totally reasonable to request a few more betas. Your mental health is very important right now and being in "beta hell" is so hard! I would try and ask again. If that doesn't work, maybe try another doctor.

I'm sorry I don't really have any advice (I asked a similar question in the Pregnancy After A Loss forum) but just wanted to let you know that others are going through something similar. I'm hoping this is indeed your rainbow. <3
