5DPO waiting to test - join me! (2 BFPs!)

Haha jumpingo you made me laugh with your last comment - we're a crazy bunch :haha:

Can't wait to test but now I just wanna wait until I can know for sure and not waste more tests... So I'm thinking about Thursday. AF should be here on Friday so that should do the trick. A bfp would be greatly appreciated.

What do you guys say to people that ask you if you want kids? I just started a new job so everyone is getting to know me and asking me the same questions (how long have you been married, where did you move from, why did you come here) and people always ask if we want kids! Is it just me to think that's kinda personal to ask someone when you don't know them that well?
I usually say yeah, someday, and try to change the subject, I'm not about to share my TTC story with everybody lol...
But I've kinda wanted to answer bluntly and be all "well we've been trying since December, I had a miscarriage a couple of months back so now we're back to trying"
:haha: would just wanna see the look on people's faces...

Stephfrog very sorry I have no idea about clomid :/ Have you tried googling? Hopefully it's that baby getting ready to grow in there :)

Stephfrog this is my clomid cycle and I don't have any symptoms. Not even sore nipples x

This was also a clomid cycle and it was the month I conceived dd.
My symptoms say I had sensitive nipples and sore bbs etc :)

maggz,

in regards to people asking if we want kids...

personally, we JUST got married and do want kids, so it's still easy to answer. but the older i get and the more people i know have miscarriages (my friend has been trying for about 7 or 8 years with multiple miscarriages) it has really made me realize how inappropriate that question is. it's so personal and people ask like it's "hey, do you like cookies?"

so, i think there are two choices. the first is what you do. this is the "i hate conflict and just want to get along with everyone because i'm new" (and what i would do because as much as i like to think i'm a snarky confident woman, i would totally avoid any ruffling of feathers:roll:)

the second, which would be so amazing and awesome, but has a chance of making the work environment not as "get along"y would be to come up with an awesomely "well, yes, thanks to asking. we've been trying for ___ months/years, i've had ___ miscarriages, but we're still trying and having lots of sex on the regular. anymore inappropriately personal questions you'd like to ask?" but deliver it totally deadpan. like, no emotion (despite how it all really feels, just to get your point across) and just watch them backpedal as fast as they can. :haha:

yeah, am feeling fiesty this morning, sorry!

I am 7dpo today, so ready to see my BFP! I couldn't hold out any longer and started testing this morning with FMU...BFN but i know its still to early

Thanks Sharnw. That sounds promising! I did research on line and I guess some women do experience this on clomid before their period. Hoping I am not one of them. ;)

Last year I started a new job and we had been TTC for a year at that point. I am a teacher and they like to know everything about their coworkers in they most caring and loving noisy kind of way. I had many people ask if I wanted kids and if I had kids and I decided the best way to respond was saying with a smirk: "we're workin on it." That short little statement get the point across, no one pried any further and that was that.
I know it isn't how everyone would handle it, but for what it's worth it was short and sweet for me. One lady put her hand on my shoulder and said "I have been there, sister. If you ever need to bend my ear, I have done every fertility related thing ever" We are friends now and she has been a good resource :)

5DPO and really wanting to test, yet I can not waste the tests. Gotta hold out til Friday. Still early, but only 5 days before AF due instead of 9 days before AF due

stephfrog, clearly much more mature than me! :haha: but yes, i like your response. people who get it will get it, people who are nosey will hopefully take the short reply hint and not pry any more...

Congrats for BFP!!..one bfp already yay!!

hows everyone doing...6 dpo AFM...Maggz hun when is the next testing date hun:D?

Haha jumpingo that's awesome I wish I had the guts to say that to someone ;)
Stephfrog that's a very to the point and simple way of putting it without being snarky.
I always struggle with the fact that I don't want my bosses to find out I'm TTCing either cause you know - they'll probably lay me off haha since I'm so new. Not the best news to give as a new employee ;)

coolbabe, been there, I know it's easier said than done but try to be patient for a few more days.

Pearly, ugh I just realized last time I got my bfp it was on like 16 dpo so I might not even get it before I'm supposed to start af. I guess my LP is super long, is that normal??
I tested this morning though and it was a bfn still. Now it's 5 days until af and I think I'll just wait until Friday.
When are you testing honey?

on the contrary my lp is short which is only8-9 days..m worried but everytime i mention this to my gyn he says its ok nothing to worry....whats ur Lp length>>??
I dont think so its a problem hun., a good lp will always make sure implantation happened well so need not worry still wanna knw...whats ur LP cuz 12-14 is the best LP..length...m way below that!!:sigh!

I guess mine is like 16 days!

I am trying maggz, i ordered some first responses today i should recieve them wednesday and i am gonna use those starting friday which would be a like 3 days before my period

AF is due today and wish she would get here. felt so optimistic only to get a BFN just now....sigh.

hope everyone is doing well, fxed for positives!!!

oh I think I am out guys. I just had a temp drop of .6. What a roller coaster! Going to take a month to see if there is anything else they can do for my DH. Fingers x for all of you!!!

Well I'm back. :( I started bleeding yesterday and it seems to be getting heavier. I bled a little with my first but nothing like this. I think it's a MC. I'm an absolute mess today but I'm so determined we're trying again straight away so that we're not left with this void for too long. I have no idea when we should be trying now but I'm thinking of ordering some OPKs to get a grasp on it.

So so sorry Flamingpanda! I cannot imagine how disappointed you are. Have you tested again to see if the line has changed at all?
Thinking of you and wishing you comfort and baby dust!

Oh no flamingpanda, I'm so sorry :(

:hugs: :hugs: to you

What does a temp drop mean? Doesn't that happen during implantation?
Fx!
