5lbs and 3oz at 37 weeks!

My youngest was born at 37 weeks. she was 5lb 12oz 18.5in. she lost some weight the first day after discharge and they threatened to put her back in hospital. well milk kicked in and she gained half a lb over night. and hasnt stopped eating since. lol. she's 6 and is in the 75th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. just keep doing what you're doing and you'll see him grow just fine. congrats!

My lo was born at 35w2d and weighed 5lbs 12 oz. Now at 5 months she weighs nearly 17 lbs, is rolling over, sitting fairly well, grabbing things....all the stuff she should be doing. Your lo will be just fine and you'll probably be surprised at how fast he grows. Congratulations on your precious baby boy!

You really shouldn't worry about that weight. That is a good healthy size. My friend was full term and her little girl was only 5lbs something. She has certainly made up for it now (she's a year old)!! My son was only 6lbs 2 when he was born at 40+1 and he also soon made up for it x

Thank you for posting this, i know every baby is differant but they measured my baby at being on the 10th percentile line and estimates him a 5lb 1oz, im 37 weeks on monday but there is talk of inducing me over the weekend and I was quite worried.

Like you I was really worried but now he's 10 days old and he's getting heavier. I know by the time he gets to his 40weeks mark he will be at a perfect weight for a newborn. Dont let it bother you, your baby will be fine

Congrats! My baby was last measuring in the 80th percentile, so I'll never get to experience a tiny baby. As long as he's doing ok, look at it as a good thing!
