Our little girl has been on solids for just over a month now and absolutely loves her food so much so we are already having to do three meals a day and having around 6 breastfeeds a day. I'm starting to wonder though what else can i give/do for her? we have done all the veggies and mixed them randomly as well as fruits and have just started ( a week ago) on meats.

I have tried looking for books but can't find anything that helps with other ideas. when can i start mixing up what we are having and giving her that? as in spaghetti, vegimite and things like that.

one more questions is can we give her things that have cows milk in - like mashed potato off our plates or a dab of ice cream off our finger? is there an age that we are meant to hold off till?

You can give anything you're eating from 6 months. Just keep salt content very low (aim for none, use baby stock cubes not just reduced salt ones when cooking - add salt to your own plate later if you want it yourself), don't give any honey, not even in cooked foods, and don't give whole nuts/big pieces of nuts. You will probably want to avoid undercooked eggs, raw meat etc - same kind of rules as when you're pregnant :)

You can use cow's milk in cooking, on cereal etc, just don't give it as a drink.

As she^^^^ said. Cows milk is fine just not as main milk drink. They can eat everything you do just be careful of salt. I give my son alsorts.... Baked potato, scrambled egg, toast, roast dinner, pasta, rice

thanks for your help ladies. i might try her with some weetbix this morning then :)
