Just got a call from my doctor who believes I did not ovulate-10 or higher indicates ovulation, i got a 6.

I am devestated, but she wants me to still do the cd 3 or 4 test and have my husband do the semen Analysis. If everything is good with that she wants me to do the cd 21 test again. If I still don't ovulate, she said she will prescribe me medication that will make me ovulate. I know she is a doctor but she still said it very casually.

I am here at work freaking out. What could this mean? By the way I was the one who wanted to do these tests(ttc for almost a year) , though my doctor believes it is just a matter of time til I get pregnant.

Medicine to make you ovulate could be something like clomid. I'm on my second round on clomid right now. It has some interesting side effects like hot flashes, hormonal, head aches and other things.

A lot of people find success in taking medicine to help ovulate.

I did ovulate on my own but it sucked. Progesterone was like 12, on femara it was 30+. I recommend he gets an sa too because if you medicate and he doesn't have the best swimmers it's not productive. Clomid, femara are easy fixes and I had just head aches on femara.
It was unexplained, no pcos as 3 days were normal. I was low end of the bmi chart but that wasn't a factor.

Thanks ladies, I feel a bit relieved as this seems to be a common issue-although my Dr really thinks it was just an off cycle and I think from what I've been reading that I may have been tested too early.

I've seen many success stories of women who have used clomid, or other ovulating stimulating drugs to help conceive.

Still have to have my levels checked on CD 3 and DH has to do a sperm analysis. Hopefully those are both okay. And then I'll do the progesterone test again.
