Went for a routine ultrasound yesterday. She did a vaginal u/s and kept poking me, saying it was hard to get a good reading. She said my bladder wasn't completely empty and my uterus is titled.
She finally found a sac, said it implanted high, but couldn't make anything out inside of the sac. I asked "is there a fetal pole" and she said "I can't make out anything. It's so small, looks like there is something in there, but it's blurry" She had me look at the screen and I saw a sac, saw what looked like a blur inside of the sac, but that was it. She also said I measured at 4 weeks.
According to my lmp, I should be 6 weeks/3 days
YET, sometimes I have 38 -35 day cycles. . .so maybe I am only 5 weeks.
Regardless, I should be more than 4 weeks along.
My hcg has been tripling. I am on progestrone supplements (due to low prog. in past pregnancies)
The doctor reviewed and said according to the picture, he sees an empty sac that is 4 weeks. Doesn't think the pregnancy is viable, but the fact that my hcg has been so good and I haven't had any bleeding, he is stumped.
He said I should come back in 2 weeks for a repeat u/s. I asked to come back next week, as the wait is too much.
So, I go back next week.
My questions:
Is this lost hope? Or could the position of my uterus and bladder have something do to w/the reading?
I just don't know what to think. If I am 6 weeks, then something should be seen.
My worry is, I go back next week and there wasn't enough time for anything to grow? DO you think in 6 days there will be some change (if it is viable?)
My doc. said by next week if nothing changes, the pregnancy probably wasn't viable from the start.
Any advice?? Any experience or know of someone that had this happen to them? I don't know wheter to throw in the towel or keep hoping.

Hopefully good things come in a weeks time!
My cycles are usually around 40 days according to the past few months, so it basically put me exactly where I'm supposed to be.
