60z & still looking for more

he has been looking for more milk after almost every bottle a few weeks ago he was only drinking about 3oz in the day then an hr & a half later he would look for more so mw said to get bigger teats & give him an extra ounce ive done that & he is drinking the whole lot & then got his mouth open looking for more i mentioned to mw about going to the next step up milk but she said no in case he needs it when he is about 3 or 4 months old , i think i got about 3 hrs sleep last night as all he did was moan , i feel shattered & worn out , the thing is for his age i think 6 ounces is already to much so i wouldn,t want to give him an extra ounce . violet xx

I was feeding Fin 5oz every three hours but lately he's been so upset and restless. He's now on 6oz and occasionally 7oz and that's hungry baby formula!!! He's been having this for last couple of days so we'll play it by ear. Have you tried giving him water to see if it's thirst? I tried this with Fin but it most definitely wasn't!!! Hee hee.

If he's not thirsty I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe he's in a growth spurt. He'll tell you what he needs.

harry is on 4oz at 11 weeks old every 3 hrs, if baby want6s more i wuld give it , it woat hurt xxx

Hey hun...i stared bottle feeding when my bubs was 3months as he was always too hungry and crying after every feed...i just wanted to know how much he was drinking...my HV always advised me give them as much as they want. My bubs at 3months was having between 7 and 8oz...i used to worry that he was having too much but his weight has remained consistant and he is now a happy little baby that sleeps well...and he has the average weight for his age even now...he just has a big appetite with a fast motabalism...xx
