6th Time

Hi again. I have had all my tests and everything is absolutely fine. However, i saw the specialist in the hospital and he said that, even though these tests came back fine, there is probably something wrong - they just don't know what else to test for. He has told me that i need to take aspirin every day (starting 3 months before even trying) and, when i fall pregnant and get to 6 weeks, i will be given heparin injections. Has anyone else heard of this or tried it?

yes. its usually for people with antiphospholipid antibodies. i expect theyve tested you for all that, but suspect that they think it is something like that but they cant test for.

heparin and aspirin treatment is discussed in the Royal Collecge guidelines if you are interested:

good luck x

Thank god they finally gave you some tests! I am so sorry to hear about your losses, its a horrible thing to happen especially if you do not know why it is happening. I have just had mc #3 and been told I need to request a referal to the consultant now to see if there is anything wrong and at least I feel some action is being taken. All of my mcs have been different as far as we can tell - 1 mmc at 12 wks with fetus, 1 mc at 6/7 wks unknown and latest being BO diagnosed at 8wks. Doc did say it might just be bad luck but they will refer me now to be sure..... isnt it awful that you have to have your heart broken 3 times before they even start to help? I know why it is this way but seems so cruel really (sorry for moan - feeling a bit raw today). Good luck though hun, I hope the asprin etc does the trick for you x
