I completely splashed out for DS's first Christmas but unfortunately we can't afford to do the same for DD :( I still want to make it special though. So far she will have:

Handmade stocking from Nana
Soft toy
Small Christmas soft toy(reindeer/snowman/Father Christmas etc) as a 1st Christmas momento, did this for DS
Little wooden carrot/rabbit car
Small pack choc buttons
Bath book
Rubber duckies
Novelty teethers

Any other ideas for small gifts or suggestions for places to get the things I have on the list would be brilloant!

My daughter will be 13 months by Christmas, in her stocking I am putting:

Small wooden butterfly puzzle (2.99) Smyths
Sippy Cup from 12 months (3.49)
Baby Brush and nail set (£1) Poundland
Knife, fork and spoon set Wilkinsons
Socks (£2.80) Primark
Tights (£2.80) Primark
Disney mini Tsum Tsums (£3) Disney Store
Milky Bar selection pack (75p) Wilkinsons
Tambourine (£3) Wilkinsons
Goldilocks Rag doll (£3) Wilkinsons
Small bead maze (£3) Wilkinsons

Also going to add:
2x That's not my......books from Amazon

Hope this gives you some ideas x

Fab list so far!

DD2 got these last year - 6 months old. So a lot of ideas.
Her favourites are the rolling bee (£9.99 from TK Maxx), sensory balls (£11.99 from TK Maxx), Chad valley tablet (£9.99/2for15 from argos) and the walker (£24.99 from Asda - cheaper in argos/ebay). Singing/swimming penguin she loves in the bath too... That was £7.99 but unsure where from x

Bath book, duckies, sippy cups you can get from poundland.
My DDs were three month their first Christmas so I got them things for as they got older. A walker, building blocks, stacking cups, first doll were their facves.

If you can afford the vtech walker - it is around £25 - then definitely get that. My daughter plays with it non stop, even now at 11 months. She got it last year.

Home Bargains and B&M are great for things like the rubber ducks, sippy cups etc. She got stacking cups for £2.99 which she loves. Wilkos is good for small toys.

Do you have a second hand baby market? We have a good one here which we got bits from when we were skint.

I also got her clothes to last for the next year or so and wrapped them. Boring but it bulks them out!
