7 week scan - only measuring 5 weeks...any similar stories?

I had an ultrasound yesterday and I was told I need a D&C or I can wait to miscarry naturally. I should be 8 1/2 weeks but am measuring 6-7 weeks. They found the fetal pole but no heartbeat. Any chance they will find one if I wait a few more weeks? I'm pretty sure on my dates. I had a positive pregnancy test on the 1st of October

Behopeful, I wouldn't like to say but at 6/7 weeks you would see a heartbeat with an internal scan, have u had an internal?

Based on my LMP I was told that I was 8 weeks pregnant and during the scan we only saw a yolk sac w/o a fetal pole or HB, but I knew I ovulated way later than I normally do so I didn't worry as much. My doctor actually pushed up my dates 2 times because the baby was measuring bigger than normal.

A heartbeat is a great sign hun, but it could be possible you ovulated later than you thought. Good Luck!!

Yes I did have an internal. I had 2 ultrasounds yesterday the second was more advanced and they found the fetal pole but still no heartbeat I just don't want to have a D&C if there is any chance the heartbeat could show up later
