i've found the best way to keep it in is to have him on top and when he finishes lift your bum up before he exits you that way gravity is helping it stay in. and i usually check my cm after my shower the next morning, most if not all the sample should be out by then and even if it's not it won't be stretchy like your ewcm!

Sperm isn't stretchy. It looks like EWCM but there is no stretch, it breaks. There is a water test you can do too. It dissolves in water where EWCM will still look like EWCM.

hi girls just wanting some advice please.....

after me and hubby bd no matter how quickly / smoothly i manoever to get my legs in teh air i get leakage!! lol. it literally comes straight out - and it seems like a lot comes out too. Iv heard that this is just the fluid that comes out and the good sperm will already be on their way. Im not ready for softcups yet i think haha. i was wondering does this happen to you?? - or is it just me?? i dont want them all to escape!!

and also.... i'm going to start checking CM - but how can you tell the difference between that and sperm?? is there a particular time you should check?? im clueless lol.

Sometimes this happens to me too, however I read about propping up your lower body on a couple of pillows with him on top. Looks a little odd but it actually works and it has worked for me. I havent tried softcups either, not sure what they are.
I think if your going to start charting your CM then checking daily like I did helps a lot because then you get to notice any changes at all. Stretchy and/or sticky or looking like egg white is CM.
The next morning after a shower is also a good time to check.

softcups are used for af. it's a cup you put up to catch your flow before it exsits your vaginal canal. that way there is no use for tampon or pad. i've heard it's very easy and most woman like it more than the 2 alternatives (i've personally never used them). woman ttc are using them to catch the sperm and keep it closer to the cervix so they don't loose any sperm and it's easier for the sperm to reach the egg.

they also say to check your cp at the same time every day because it moves though out the day, then you get the best guess of any changes! GL!

Just to ease you: Propping up your butt or putting up your legs is a fertility myths , it doesnt fo any difference(I have just read a study on perceived fertility myths)
and you mucus, you have to see yourself if it is the best quality. best quality can be anything from watery to like egg yolk .

The average sperm travels 6 inches in 5 minutes and considering he is inside when it happens... well, they don't have to travel far because the average women is not over 6 inches long inside, lol ^^. You could give it 10 just to be sure, but many fertility specialists now say it's not really necessary to lie around. ^^ If you feel like it does, I would say 10-15 minutes is fine, but you have to be careful because of UTIs. Usually what comes out is just the excess fluid/weak sperm though.

The other thing is you could try flipping onto your belly. A lot of women have a tilted uterus (I do) and they say this helps. I noticed it does.

and Lotte, you can tell if it is sperm by putting a little but of the leakage on your leg and rubbing it with your fingers. If it becomes little white flecks and starts to disintegrate, then it is semen. Your cm will stay very viscous and wet when you rub, and won't disappear as easily.

Do you ladies thing it matters if the DH keeps pumping after the spermies are released? I have the thoughts that he's swishing the swimmers out when he does that.

Lotti- Thank you so very much for the info! I didn't think it was a good idea to keep going after he ejaculates but he seems to always keep pumping away for another minute or so then stops. I asked him to stop it for BDing but he just does it anyhow, says it's habbit.
