My baby has 8 x 5oz bottles a day about 3 hours apart. I don't understand how I am meant to fit food in?:dohh:

When we first started I just gave food an hour after milk, maybe that would work for ya?

Remember when you first start it is all about exploring tastes and textures and baby may not actually eat anything for a while. We found it easiest to sit LO in her high chair while we ate and give her some food to play with/explore at the same time. That also is good for the baby to start to learn that meals are a social activity as well.

The beauty of starting solids, especially if you do BLW and let baby do all the work, is that you can sit back and eat your own meals. So plan to offer solids at the times when you'd normally have your own breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack (dinnertime for us is usually late for many babies and they're already in bed). I put my daughter in her high chair with some food in front of her while I heated up and ate my own meal. It was fun for her, and meant I actually got to eat full, uninterrupted meals for the first time in 6 months!
