8 weeks threatened miscarriage

Currently Im 8 wks pregnant as today and friday i was diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage due and has to spotting that began friday and has been goin on for four days now... mainly brown sometimes red. ive had light cramping occasionally bt nothing major.... At the ER friday the baby was there heartbeat 90 ...saturday another u/s baby still there in the right position rt size heartbeat still classified as low cervix closed doc said 50/50... Today I wanted to ease my nerves so I went to see my Ob/gyn whom I have never seen before as i was reffered to her due to relocation... she asked me questions about my history and my E R visits refused to due an u/s said that based on the info I provided her I will miscarryin in next ten days.... she provided me with NO HOPE and even went on to ask what type of BC I would like to start on as this pregnancy was unplanned.... she did however do a pelvic exam saw lots of old blood and cervix still closed told me to continue taking prenatals for iron bt then basically told me to look for forward to a miscarriage... I am devastated any words of advice or encouragement PLEASEEE

Oh I am so sorry as i too suffered a m/c at 8weeks but didn't find out till about 11 or so weeks. But I will say it's not over untill it's over and if it is over look at it on the bright side maybe it was yr bodys way of telling you that you were not ready for this baby. On the bright side though any loss is great but you can still try to have a baby I have a happy ten months old after my m/c and now i am pregnant again. so it will work out just be strong

I was also diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage on Sunday night this week after having sudden but brief red bleeding. There was some brown spotting Monday and Tuesday. Did your OB make that judgement based on any particular fact? because I had a follow up with my OB also after the diagnosis and she didn't say anything about miscarriage. I wonder how yours can make such a definite judgement. Was is because the baby's heart rate was low?
I hope she is wrong as I have heard spotting during pregnancy is normal. The paperwork they gave me at the hospital said that a "threatened miscarriage" is any pregnancy with bleeding before 20 weeks. Good luck to you!!

THAT IT IS SO FRUSTRATING! I KNOW THAT DOCTOR'S NEED TO TELL YOU ALL THE POSSIBILITIES, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, THEY NEED TO BE SENSITIVE - I FIND THE NURSES AND DOCS AT THE HOSPITAL ARE MUCH MORE SENSITIVE TO SITUATIONS LIKE THIS...

I hope your baby stays put and that you are doing alright - take care of yourself and unfortunately you just have to wait - it's the hardest thing! FX for you

So sorry this is happening to you. I was also told to prepare for miscarriage after some bleeding (6 weeks), they just shrugged their shoulders and said it was common so don't be surprised. No hope as well. That was the same pregnancy as my LO in my avatar so yes, you can overcome it!!! My little man made it. It IS true though about the 50/50 thing. There is nothing you can do to prevent or change it, so just pray & hope to be on the positive side. Good luck

so sorry this happened to you. Friday night I was bleeding for 1/2 hr. that was fresh blood. I got really scared and called my husband at his work & I said "we lost the baby".I was 9 weeks by then. When I called the Dr. right away I called the on call dr on line.He asked me to go to hospital if I am bleeding heavily. But I wasn't.My bleeding stopped in 1/2hr.So I took bed rest for the next 2 days. Monday am I went to my OB,did the US.everything is fine.baby is ok with the HR of 162.even me and my husband saw our baby was moving. the dr couldn't find where I was bleeding from since I stopped bleeding right away.He put me on rest for 3 weeks. So far no bleeding & i am enjoying my short vacation.

thanks all daisy118 no she didnt say she was like a know it all but i still have faith the E R doctors seemed like it would prob be fine and the paperwork I received said most threatened miscarriages continue to term.... crossin fingers!!!

I would get a new OB, she sounds very insensitive and no very caring. Why would she refuse a scan?
The way I look at it is 50/50 is more than the odds of getting pregnant at any given cycle and you did that.
Keep the faith, FXed for you and the bean.

I'm sooo sorry you're going through this. I hope the midwife is wrong.
