since weaning DD2 has really gone off her bottles and is such a foodie also she wont drink more than a few sips of water either:nope: up until the last couple of days she used to take 5ozs in her morning bottle then 5ozs an hour later in her breakfast then her bedtime bottle she will take 3-4ozs if I'm lucky. Inbetween her breakfast and her bedtime bottle she will have 2-3 big yoghurts and I will offer her water but at most she will only take a few sips. Now yesterday and today she has only taken 2.5ozs of bottle. Anyone else experiencing this? Now with DD1 she always took a good amount of bedtime bottle still does she will have 9-11ozs at bedtime but, DD2 is the complete opposite and I don't like it. Just wondered if anyone else is going through the same thing and what do you do?

Not sure how you're doing it, but, make sure to give her the formula in her bottle before any solids at feedings. With breakfast, lunch and dinner, our older two kiddos always finished a 4 ounce bottle before eating. Ofcourse they had 8 ounce bottles between meals as well.

Do you think it could be discomfort? Teething maybe ? X

Im having exactly the same problem and came on here to post the exact same thing you have posted.

She is on 3 bottles a day now and only having 3-4 ozs at a time. The afternoon bottle sometimes only having 2 ozs. She loves her food and will eat and eat but she doesn't seem to like milk. I don't know what to do about it and its really worrying me. In Annabel Karmel's book it said a baby this age should be on no less than 18ozs a day or they wont have enough iron and it can affect their mental and physical development which has worried me more.

I wondered if the teat is hurting her gums so im going back to the NUK bottle tomorrow with the floppy latex teat instead of the avent bottle which has a much harder teat and will see if that makes any difference. Otherwise I don't know what im going to do. Maybe offer more yogurts. She already has a petit filous for the morning snack, she dropped that bottle a few weeks back coz she was only having 2 ozs and I thought she was trying to drop it but shes started doing that with the afternoon bottle now too. She usually has a big yogurt for lunch aswell. She does have plenty of cheese and other dairy stuff but I would prefer her milk intake to be better.

If I didn't put the rest of her morning milk into her breakfast she would only be having 9ozs a day which is nowhere near enough! We are still only achieving 12 ozs a day at the moment.

With a bit of digging around on google ive found out that a petit filous yogurt is the equivalent to 2-3oz of milk.

Try teething gel 20 mins before giving a bottle

Could try a doidy cup instead of the bottle

Maybe a teat with a bigger hole so they get more quicker
