A concert at 36 weeks pregnant safe?

My husband and I wanted to go to a concert this Monday, ill be one day away from turning 36 weeks. The concert isnt a crazy metal concert or something but it does have a decent amount of bass. It's in a newly renovated theater, so it's all seating so I won't have to stand either, plus I'm assuming there will be breaks in between. My husband thinks it'll be a two and a half hour concert probably. I wanted to ask my doctor, but you have to jump through hoops to get her on the phone because she's so busy and my next appointment isn't till after the concert.

Is it safe to go to a concert at this stage?

I'd say so...the only thing I'd worry about is standing for that amount of time (and even that just because of my own comfort), but you say you have seats, so go for it!

Well I have been to crazy metal concerts and had an amazing time! Baby was jigging alot to the music too hehe (OH is not amused baby is a rocker, he loves house music )

Like you said you've got seats so thats great, Go out and enjoy yourself

We do plan to have lots of water and sit towards the back closest to the exits too for emergency

The concert has awolnation, imagine dragons and some new group I haven't heard of named zeale

I asked a few others, they said go for it too lol, one said the worst that could happen is that you go into labor and well our hospital is literally right down te street from te concert theater

Definitely go! My OH loves his loud music so my baby gets a few mins with the sub turned up every day and he's just fine. Like PP said, I'd be mre concerned with your comfort than you baby's.

I have a twin sister that for some reason tries to mother me and thinks that she knows best...and she was over exaggerating the whole thing making it look like I was going to cause my baby deafness or kill him or something by going to this concert...and then going "but do whatever you want" making me sound like a bad mother...it's awolnation...not some death metal screamo band lol...and we are going to sit in the back.

It's nice to know that others went to or have been going to concerts as well with no issues....if I feel something is wrong while i'm there i'll just leave...its not like i'm stuck there the minute I go through the doors

Ive been to a concert not that long ago and baby lived it, also been to the moto gp and baby loved the sound of the motorbikes! Go for it, you'll be fine!!! Xx

I had this question in mind too. Wondering if it is safe to go to a concert at 14-15weeks pregnancy after doing an IVF? Assigned seats and it's a concert for P!nk. Would it be ok too?



Edit: Got my answer from a nurse today. she said no problem with the loud music, just to make sure I'm not standing too long.
