Short Personal Description: I have two children: a son from my first marriage and a baby daughter. I've been reading such forums as this (only in Russian and Ukrainian) since my first pregnancy. But recently my OH and I decided we want to raise our children multilingual, so I started talking English at home. Which means I need to know words they don't teach at Language schools and Universities, such as "babygro", and "to wind a baby", and of course "poo", the most used of all.
That's why I joined BnB: to keep my English on the same wavelength as English-speaking mumies all over the world.
I've been here for about a month and it has been very helpful (and not only language wise, of course).

Hi guys,

My bf and I just recently started talking about starting a family I am super excited!! I'm 25 and he is 35. It's pretty much time now to start thinking about it. I think he will be an amazing dad We should start trying in the next couple weeks I think.

Anyway, I'm new to this forum and not sure how things work... I'm quitting smoking tomorrow, so that will be a mission and a half. I'm trying to get my body ready for this, I find it's super important, especially if it's a planned pregnancy. I'm really hoping that it will happen fast, and that it wont take years to get pregnant, we are already old enough as it is in my opinion, and his too.

I was so nervous to talk to him about it for months now. I kept telling my sister how much it was bothering me and just the thought of wanting a child was making me very emotional lol. She finally convinced me to talk to him about it. It took everything for me to come out and say it, but we finally had a conversation about it, and i told him how I felt. In the end, he told me he wanted to try for a baby soon too, and ever since i've been walking around with a huge smile plastered on my face. I'm so happy everything turned out good, and that we are on the same page.
