Hello,

I am new to this site and to forums in general. Not 100% sure how they work, but found the site on a desperate google search for support.

I'm a new mom, almost 40, and struggling. I'm sure I have a bit of PPD which is making things harder...but I stress and worry over my wonderful baby boy all the time. Mostly about his sleep, which isn't good & despite consistent and thorough efforts is not improving. Naps are the culprit - he won't sleep more than 30-40mins max per nap and he accumulates such a sleep debt that eventually it affects his night sleep and he is just so overtired it pains me! He catches up about one day every few weeks, but then the cycle begins again and its really never enough.

I find as a result of the stress and worry I am tearful, feel guilty, and am not enjoying this beautiful boy as much as I should be.

I'm hoping that here i can find compassionate ears, maybe some advice and certainly support.

I'm not sure how often I will post....but I am just grateful to have somewhere to vent - where maybe I'll meet someone who has been through what I am going through and can help me to believe that it will pass...and things will get better.

I was beyond devastated, but remained determined. We haven't conceived since our first attempt, but remain positive because we CAN conceieve -- we just have to work on timing.

All have not resulted in a pregnancy. I have successfully ovulated on all cycles, and have no idea what our problem has been. This cycle I've taken a break from the meds, and just enjoyed being with my husband. My RE wants me to do one more cycle of clomid, ovidrel, and iui before moving on to injectables. I'm really hoping that within our next few iui's one will work. I really don't want to have to go through the process of ivf.
