So, I'm a stay-at-home for the moment (drawing unemployment) looking for another equal-ish paying job... which doesn't exist. My husband is an IT tech for a local company... the only tech they have actually... his job is actually recession proof LUCKILY! We're fortunate enough to have BCBS insurance through his job and it covers infertility. We've been together since August 2003 and married since June 2006. This is my 2nd marriage, his 1st, and he IS a keeper... about as wonderful as wonderful gets.

Why I'm here: My DH and I have been talking about TTC since 2006 and tried for 2 months in early 2007. Unfortunately, after those 2 months, my 2nd cycle never ended... literally. On top of that, he ended up in the hospital for 9 days (nearly died) from a heart defect that suddenly felt the need to scare the heck out of us. It has since been fixed, happily. We didn't get insurance coverage until 2008, and I wasn't bright enough to pursue treatment of the near-constant AF until early 2009. After a long search for a doctor or 2 (ob/gyn and gp) that I liked or at least didn't hate, I have my current medical team and we are officially TTC again. This new start began when I had (probably, unable to confirm) a chemical pregnancy in July (without trying) and it brought the urge back to present. So, here we are... OB/GYN prescribed Clomid to "jump start" things, and I'm still chugging along in the first Clomid cycle. I'm sure I'll be posting more about that in other posts in some of the other forums here.

Hello All!

After driving myself crazy with questions/concerns of a first time pregnancy, i decided I would search for a forum online to help ease my mind a bit

I recently found out that my boyfriend and I are expecting. Bit of a suprise, but we and our families are thrilled none the less. I go to the doctor this week to confirm the pregnancy, but 3 positive HPT's don't lie! I'm assuming I am aprroximately 2.5-3 months along!

I tested negative for the last 6-8 weeks (bloodwork too), but finally 3 positive HPT's. What a relief! Appearantly when my mother was pregnant with me, she tested negative for appx 4 months before it was confirmed!!

Hopefully there are others in the same boat... can anyone tell me why this happened???
