A little help in making my own graphics? / Any digital scrapbookers out there?

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to Photoshop and was going to try and play about to make my own signature graphic. I love all of the little ribbons, backgrounds, frames etc that people have used in their sigs but I don't know where to get them from. Has anyone got any suggestions where I might be able to find some? Are there websites dedicated to this?

Thanks in advance for any help with this. I'm not very good with the whole Photoshop thing so at least if I have access to graphics it'll give me a starting point! Also, I was hoping to start a bit of digital scrapbooking, so if there's anyone out there that does that and wants to share tips and tricks then I'd love to hear from you!

It takes a long time to get Photoshop figured out... The best advice I can give you is to go onto YouTube and search for Photoshop tutorials. You can also go to websites like deviant art and pick up custom brush sets, fonts, patterns and styles to get you started, and eventually you can move on to designing your own.

If you have any problems don't hesitate to ask me... I've got a lot of Photoshop hours under the belt.

Thanks for your lovely response and for your offer of help. Don't be surprised if I end up bothering you at some point!!! I'm going to start slowly and hopefully build up my knowledge. What I was looking to find was all of the little graphics that people seem to use to build up their pics. You know, like spotted ribbons or buttons or fancy frames etc. Is there an online place where I can download some of these for free?

Any help would be gratefully received.

I can't really help in that department as I don't use them on my designs... I hope someone can point you in the right direction!
