I don't think I can be classified as LLTTC as yet, but i thought this was the best place to ask, so I hope I'm not offending anyone.
It has been about 11 months of TTC#2. I had a chemical back in july and no bfp since. I do chart and use opk's, all confirming Ovulation, so I don't think clomid will help me here. anyone else had this same problem? i will be calling dr. soon to make an appt, i'm just wondering what tests should i be asking for?

My husband and I tried to conceive on our own for over a year before my doctor conducted any tests to see why we couldn't. Before I got my PCOS diagnosis my doctor ordered a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to see if there were any blockages in my fallopian tubes.
She also ordered a semen anaylsis on my DH which came back normal, so we did further testing on me (more blood work) which lead to the PCOS diagnosis.

For you since you have confirmed ovulation I would at least get the HSG and semen analysis on DH to see where you guys stand with that, and then go from there.
Good Luck!

Hi Moter98, I agree with Laura. I have been ttc for almost a year now and had a chemical end of October. My specialist has got me booked in for a Lap and Dye in June. I was meant to have a HSG but they couldn't reach my cervix so had to abandon the procedure.

I'd definitely ask for the HSG so you know that your tubes are ok...also many women fall pregnant after having this done as it flushes your tubes out. We also have to get my partner's sperm tested (although I doubt it's him as he has a 5yr old from a previous relationship).

Good luck x

Thanks ladies! I will be sure to ask for those tests if dr doesn't suggest them himself. Still hoping I will fall pregnant before I have to go in. Hey, miracles happen! Lots of baby dust to you.

I would ask for day 3 bloods for FSH, LH and Estradiol, day 21 bloods for progesterone and prolactin, semen analysis and a HyCoSy or HSG. A HyCoSy is a very quick procedure compared to the hsg and no general anesthetic is required.
I had a HyCoSy done this cycle and one of my tubes was clear and the other wasnt clearing but the dye must have flushed it out cos it cleared in the end. :happydance:
Got my bfp yesterday after a year TTC #2. :)

Congrats! What wonderful news. Gives me hope.
