A quick Q ... can I have some advice?

Hi there,

So this is meant to be my 1st month on Clomid ... but AF has arrived 4 days early and rather messed up my plans plus I am rather bad at working out dates

I'll explain ... I usually O between CD18-23 ... the Dr is hoping clomid will bring O forward a little and garentee O ..
However I'm flying to Scotland on the 13th to help my G'mother move house (relocating from the South East to Scotland - so not really something I can delay/move)
This means my O is due to fall pretty much bang in the middle of me being away (or just after I leave).

If O comes on CD18 (or earlier) l I have a chance to BD before (if AF arrives tonight and CD1 is tomorrow) .. but if it comes later then I'll be away

Why is nothing ever simple?!? I really want to start the clomid .. but am I wasting it?

My Q ... is it a total waste of the clomid to take it on a month where the chance of me being about during O are low? I'm dying to get started but don't want to take it 'for taking it's sake' when it's really a waste?

Hi Farie

If I was you I would just take it anyway. I am on my second round of Clomid and it shortened my cycle by 3 days (normally a 27-28 day girl) and I ovulated on day 10 on the first round and day 12 on this one. You might be lucky and get a chance to BD before you leave. Anyway I think it can take a couple of rounds to get your cycle settled into a pattern so you are probably best to get started. Just my opinion, some of the other girls who have used it for longer may have a different idea on it.

i would still take it cos like ur doc said, it may shortern your cycle and then for the following month it will be bang on ...good luck, i am on my 5th cycle so if you want any advice just ask! x
