Today, I received an Ultrasound... to find out something that I was worried about from the beginning since I'd had it once before, and that's the possibility of a blighted ovum. I'm a bit distraught and my Dr is checking my HCG levels over the next 48 hours to see if they double or not but still...
The only hope I really have right now is that I'm not cramping, I'm not bleeding and I still feel completely pregnant (tired, sick, hungry all the time, strong sense of smell etc) The news came as a shock and I'm still trying to make sense of it. This happened to me before, over 6 years ago, and the same thing happened, I was 10 weeks and there was nothing but my doc was different then and didn't check my blood levels, just scheduled a D&E for the following week! Even then I was not bleeding or cramping, everything seemed okay...
So now I was researching to try and wrap my head around this before deciding which way to go...
I want to believe so much that I'm just way to early or something's just in the way and they can't see the baby...
I've heard that having a tipped Uterus actually makes it much more difficult to see a baby until much later on (around 13 to 16 weeks) Is that true? Does anyone have a tipped Uterus and had trouble locating the baby in their ultrasound?
Another thing... if their really is no hope, is it better to do a D&C/D&E or miscarry naturally? If we do lose this pregnancy we want to work on getting pregnant again as soon as possible... When we had our D&E the last time, I became pregnant with my daughter just two months later after BD just one time, we didn't even time it really... but was this because of the D&E or just luck, we really have no idea, we've been wanting to think it was because of the D&E but I really haven't looked much into it.
Thanks for any answers girls, I really appreciate them
