Abnormal Ultrasound? Two sacs?

Hi ladies!

Some background. My first son took us over 2 years to conceive, but with the help of metformin it worked. He is now 18 months old.

We decided to go back to fertility to prepare for #2 and I literally got pregnant the first month of trying. I know the exact day that was successful...fathers day. I am now about 5 weeks pregnant.

Went in for an ultrasound and you could see a small sac, but it sort of looked like a number 8 or like two bubbles stuck together. The doc said it could be an abnormal pregnancy or two sacs, but that it was too soon to tell. She said if its one sac it could be extra fluid. She isn't my normal doc and I was not happy with the news. It has just made me worry even more. I have been crying all day because she said it could be an abnormal sac.

Again it looked like two bubbles stuck together and there was a faint line between them. They asked me to come back next week. My hcg is still increasing.

Could be twins, could just be too early to tell. But I really hope everything is good.

For the record, and 5w6d, I was told I most likely had a blighted ovum and go home and prepare to miscarry. My "blighted ovum" is now 28 months old and running naked all over my house. So they really DON'T know that early. Remember, they are looking at something the size of a grain of rice through several layers of skin/muscle/organ. It's really hard to tell.

Same with me, around 5 wks they said I had a blighted ovum , they saw amniotic sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole.... Be wk later there was a pole with a heartbeat ..... And he is now 4 wonder if the two sacs are amniotic and yolk ? Baby is prob too small to be seen still!

Does it look like this? This is my baby at 6+1 and I am currently 36 weeks. At this point my baby was 4mm so tiny to see anything. Top blob is baby bottom one is yolk sac. This was perfectly normal.

I'm no dr though, hope all goes well!
