About clomid might be better in here!

Just wondering if any ladies out there on clomid had any advice for me? My FS told me if I don't get AF or BFP at the end of the cycle I should start the tablets again. I did this with round 1 but round 2 I have had my CD21 results back with a level of 35nmol and although I haven't spoken to FS I have done some research to find that this means I am likely to have ovulated. Today I am on CD30 and no AF or BFP. I am reluctant to start my tablets again but was wondering what your FS had advised you?

I think my FS told me to keep taking because my cycles have been over 200 days naturally!

Does your Dr. want you to start the tablets right now, before AF arrives? That doesn't make sense since Clomid is supposed to be taken at the beginning of your cycle. I would wait it out. If you ovulated, you will either get a bfp soon or AF. You shouldn't take the tablets until after AF starts. Most people are advised sometime between cycle days 2-9.

I just read your previous post about this. I am surprised your FS wants you to start the Clomid without AF, especially if it appears that you ovulated and you're only on CD30. I would've expected him/her to give you ample time to rule out pregnancy, then give you provera to start your AF before continuing with the Clomid. Keep us posted on what the FS decides! Thanks Ladies!

I haven't had natural AF since last Oct therefore Doc told me to start taking straight away back in April and then when I got to CD31 in May and had no AF I just started taking again as directed by my FS in my appointment in April. I would have done the same thing again but for the fact that I have seen my CD21 results from a week ago and the level was 35 nmol/l which I think means I ovulated?

If this is right I should get AF or BFP at some point?

Any thoughts?

Hi Kat08, a level of 35 is good and would mean you have ovulated, so you should get AF soon, but if you don't, I would take a test and just see if you're pregnant, you shouldn't take clomid again until you're sure you're not pregnant and when AF arrives, I take it on day 2 of my cycle.

All specialists are different. I know a lot of people who don't have to have provera and were advised to just start(Inc my mum on her bfp with my twin sisters). I would however advise you not to start clomid until u know u are not pregnant. Maybe leave it a few more days and if no at test again. You should get af or a bfp after ov so it could be that u ovd later say cd17 so af wouldn't be due for a few days. If not I'd call ur doc for advice. Good luck x
