Absolutely gutted!

Yes i think you need to find out for your own peace of mind, even if its completely unrelated but the not knowing must be so hard.
Im still bleeding on and off virtually nothing since fri then more brown discharge today urghhhh! Its been going on for 5 weeks now, has to stop soon surely?!? X

So sorry you are having this worry. I'm not immune to chicken pox (never had it as a kid and requested to be tested) and I was told I wouldn't get a jab unless I had a known exposure. I wonder why they don't like giving the jab unless as a last resort?

There was an out break in my dd2 school. So I told mw as the nursery warned me. The bloods came back I wasn't immune & I had chicken pox in my blood. So I had come into contact with it at that point. But because our hospital doesn't do the test themselves it had to be sent off 250 miles away!! Took 2 weeks to come back. Well over the 72hrs that the jab is meant to be given. Because I had, had chicken pox before & shingles they said you will definitely be covered. Well I wasn't! I had chicken pox & no spots! Doctor said because I had it before that could be why I had no spots. Just felt like I had the flu...

My friend had chicken pox AND shingles before and when her little boy got chicken pox was tested for immunity as she was pregnant and it came back negative. Very strange to me- part of me wonders what the false negative rate for these tests are. Mind you, I am hearing of more and more cases of people having chicken pox twice so perhaps the NHS needs to change the information on their website about this! I hope get some answers for your little girl.

I have heard some women can bleed right to the end. Hopefully it won't last much longer x

I think it is on the nhs website that some can get it more than once. I hope I get some answers soon.

Well earth shattering this past 2 weeks have been. Dd3 has seen a audiologist, ophthalmologist & paediatrician. Nothing wrong her ears & she can see. They have confirmed something is wrong 😢. They believe it's her brain. I'm torn to pieces. Its hard for me to even focus on new baby right now with all the worry I have for my dd3. She is seeing a neurologist at Oxford hospital & has a mri early next week. They have said that this could be caused by chicken pox. We won't know the damage to her brain or what life has to hold for til after the scan. I'm scared they are going to tell me something awful and that she won't be with me long. Heart broken doesn't even cover it. Is going to a long process I know. Just hope we get some info soon. I have arrange a photo shoot so all my girls can have a lovely picture taken together. Feel we need some close famil time. I pray she is going to be ok 😢😢😢. My miracle daughter is my angel & what is keeping me strong right now. And her beautiful little face everyday makes it so worth getting up when I just wanna crawl into a big dark hole

Aw I'm so sorry to hear that, but she could still live a long happy life! I hope they're able to find more answers for you. And if it is due to chicken pox and they're at fault don't let them get away with it!

Trust me I won't! They know they are at fault. They even said at the time they was sorry they assumed I would be immune. And I wasn't. But at least the paediatrician did say that coz the time I came into contact with it, it could well of caused the brain to under developed of damage. They are calling this morning with a mri date. So hope they do. Or I will be calling and freaking out!!

Oh gemstone you must be worried sick hun! Is your DD otherwise well and happy? Xx

She is very happy, never cries. Never has colds or anything. Such a good baby sleeps all night. Has done from quite early on. I mean she has had hip & reflux problems ,a cows milk protein allergy. But otherwise fit & well xx

I'm so sorry there is something wrong with your daughters health, I hope it's something that won't affect her too much x

gemstone, big hugs, I think of you often these days, so thank you for the update. Hopefully the apt with the neurologist brings some answers and ways to move forward, that's the engineer in me... don't just give the problems, but I want solutions!! What a great idea to have pictures done of the girls!!!

Thinking of you lots!

Kim
