We've bought ds2 a kitchen for Xmas but need some pots and pans and some food to go with it.

Where's best to get these I don't mind if wooden or plastic but I do live in the middle of nowhere so would be best if I could buy online.

Thanks in advance

I think the melissa and doug wooden food looks brill. We've ordered the cookie set, cutting fruit, healthy foods and another set. They also do the pots the pans and the reviews are brill. Wauwaa and amazon do deals on them quite often so uou could set an alert on camel camel camel. Also hears good things about bigjigs :flower:

The ELC pans and utensils are great. We chose plastic because handing my son anything resembling a heavy wooden weapon was a bad idea! But the ELC stuff is very good quality, not flimsy at all. And not pink! We got him a kettle and toaster set from B&M for about £10 - it was a breakfast set so it came with loads of flimsy plates etc which we threw away, but the kettle and toaster are very robust and the kettle makes bubbling and pouring sounds. He loves his tea set more though - you can get the Peterkin one on amazon which is great. Food wise we got the plastic cutting food from ELC which is amazing, and again not cheap or flimsy at all. They do a set of bottles which look like the liquid is pouring out too. This year he's getting some wooden food sets but the plastic stuff is staying because it's been a firm favourite and can't become weaponised!

We have bought out dd a wee kitchen for her birthday and went today and bought a pack of play food for it and also a pan with additional food. We got them in toysrus. The food set has 120 pieces and was £9.99 and the wee pan with food was £4.99

We have both wooden and plastic play food. This plastic play food from elc is by far the most played with, it's very very hard plastic and really good quality so will last.

We've got both wooden and plastic, the bag for life from elc and agree with the above about it being more played with. It is very good quality :)
