Anyone have good news about aupunctre and fSH levels and LH levels? My fSH is over 30 :(
Taking prenatal, maca, vitex, bee stuff, and just ordered pqq.
I'm going to try acupuncture but wanting to hear experiences

My FSH is 32.3, Im 39 years old. I was using Vitex (Agnus Castus) the cycle I got my levels done and stopped using it as I was told nothing helps by my GP and too just go with things and not get too wrapped up in TTC. She seems too think I've got a low ovarian reserve and said she's not doing anymore tests unless I don't have a period for 3 months and will look into things more then, I'm on cycle day 42 today which is very unusual for me as my cycles are always 26-28 days so feeling a bit down at moment. I had Mirena coil in and had it removed in June and had awful symptoms after removal so that's why I went too get bloods done. Also before I had my DD I had 3 early m/c's so falling pregnant wasn't a problem then, just seems it is now! If you find any info out let me know because I'm curious too see if anyone with high FSH has fallen pregnant xxx

I'll definitely let you know.
Im kind of surprised that your doc isn't referring you to an RE or something. I just keep reading online about melatonin, coq10, royal jelly and DHEA,ppq, and what I listed above which are all said to help eggs mature properly but it takes three months to even start working. I'm taking all of those plus raspberry leaf capsules to help with my uterine lining. Every month that goes by without doing anything is another month that is ticking away. My OB said that if I want this to happen then I need to be aggressive. I have an apt to go to an RE in december.

Acupuncture is said to increase circulation to the uterus which is suppose to help... I don't know if it lowers FSH though.

I have been doing acupuncture for well over a year. I find it to be very emotionally helpful, sort of like therapy! My acu dr is wonderful & wants to hear about what's happening each week. (Sometimes DH doesn't even want to know the latest...) It's relaxing & I feel like I am being cared for. These matter in life, esp when TTC because it's so stressful and overwhelming.

It's harder to quantify the results in other ways, though. My FSH was lower the most recent time it was checked (7.2 about a month ago); a year ago it was 28. The tricky thing with FSH is that it fluctuates & western drs believe that the highest number it ever reaches is the truest reading. Western drs don't think you can do anything to lower FSH because they say it reflects the ovarian reserve and since you can't make any more eggs, you can't change that. Acu drs do feel like acu can lower FSH & improve reproductive function, so there's disagreement amongst the different types of medicine/practice. No shocker there! There are studies about how acu is helpful for fertility, higher successful ivf transfer rates, etc., but I don't know that there is any scientific study that shows this with regards to lowering FSH.

I've been taking loads of CoQ10, DHEA, rasp leaf tea, some royal jelly & haven't gotten pg yet, even with fertility meds and IUIs. I'll be moving on to the really big guns IVF, most likely with donor eggs, if my last IUI doesn't work. I may just be a "tough" case. Who knows. But there is another thread on here about a woman (notrustyyet) who had success with supplements, so it is possible. Can't recall if she did acu or not.

Good luck to you!! :dust:

wow mama, you're always such a wealth of information. I know in previous threads you and I have chatted, and I"m glad to have an update. I will definitely add you to my prayers.
TTc is so hard. My hubby is traveling for weeks at a time at this point, which isn't helping anything, so I figure in the mean time, I"ll fill up on supplements and just hope. Our insurance doesn't cover ivf or iui, unfortunately, so if we can't get this right on our own, we're just doneski. Wrapping my head around that is the tough part, as it is for anyone who is ttc with no luck at all. It's such a tough road.

Hang in there, all my best to you!
