An ad just downloaded. I didn't click on anything, just reading through a thread, and I got a download notification labeled 'advertisement' at the bottom of my screen. It was in my download files when I went to see about it.

I didn't open it so I don't know what it was, other than really not okay with me. Is there a way you can figure out which ad did that and get rid of it? Because I'm sure the company didn't clear such a thing with you!

Thanks, mods!

BabyandBump do not have ads that download files onto your computer

I would need screenshots and further details of the ad you believe is the culprit and any further information you can assist with that could be useful. I would NOT recommend you open up a file.

At this point I have to admit I am confused, have you a virus scanner on your computer? I can only guess right now this is nothing to do with BnB. If anyone else has the same problem please provide as much information as possible.

I've got Webroot and sweep with Malwarebytes, too. I just had the computer professionally cleaned up a couple of weeks ago so I'd be ready for class, so it's probably not something I came in with.

I deleted the download without opening it, and didn't think to screen cap since I came right over here to let you know what happened. :dohh: If it happens again I'll definitely keep the info you need. As it was, I wasn't even paying attention to what ad was at the top of the screen.

Thanks, though, Wobbles!
