Sorry for all the questions. Here is my new one.
I have a demanding job, its hard to get adequate sleep. Sometimes 5-6hours is all I am going to get due to work. Things will taper down through time, just currently, I have to still meet deadlines.

Is there anyone out there that is in this circumstance and lacking on needed sleep and pregnant ? Good or bad, how did it go?

I guess I am seeking advice in this state of happy confusion! :)

No need to apologize for questions! That's why we're all here. :)

I'm not, nor have I ever been in a similar situation, but think that your body will tell you when enough is enough. As long as you're getting adequate nutrition, keeping hydrated, and the sleep you get is restful, then you aren't hurting your baby.

Hi! I also never sleep much; I work 6pm until 1 or 2am, and then get up again with my daugher at 7:15am, and watch my kids/drive them to school/get them off the bus all day until work again. I work 30 hours/week, though, in addition to being a full-time mom.

It's tough, but somehow I made it through the entire first trimester and then felt a little better by about 10-12 weeks. I do try to go to bed by 1am, so I can sleep for 6 hours a night, and I catch up like crazy on the weekends/nights I don't work. I have continued to drink 1 cup of coffee/day and I did that with my son and he's just fine. Without the coffee, I honestly couldn't function.

Good luck--the most important thing is to catch up when you can, even if it means naps or going to bed at 8pm.

Your body will certainly "advise" you when it's time to slow down and get more rest... BUT, as your pregnancy progresses it may just become more difficult to sleep well regardless of how much time you have... I'm up several times a night to pee... as well and battling hip/back pain... luckily icing before bed seems to help. But I still never feel fully rested... although I do OK long as I'm up and about... there have been times though I just hit a wall and NEEDED a nap. There was pretty much no fighting it! lol. Overall though, I've done quit well... even getting up a lot a night. I think you kinda just get used to it ;)

Just rest when you can hun... it helps!
