hi ladies.
basically, OH had a few problems with his bank account, and now uses my old one for his wages etc. i don't use the account at all so he has the card.
i got a monthly statement through today and i always have a quick glance before putting it away just to make sure everything seems as it should.
i noticed on this statement a £10 charge for something called 'awork.co.uk gibraltar'. i asked OH about it and he said he didn't know either. i searched it in google, and it said it was for a site called adultwork where you pay for credits for webcam and phone chats etc with escorts! OH still said he didn't know and that if he did do something like that 'which he never would' he wouldn't be stupid enough to use my account. i kind me agree, but at the same time, the transaction came from somewhere, and maybe he's bluffing? i don't know what to do :(

hmm i would wonder. of course its logical that he wouldnt be stupid enough to use your account... but at the same time, if hes the only one with the card what you could do is go to the website and tye in his email address and 'forgot your password' it

if it sends a password to him, he's lying

xxx

I have had my cards cloned 3 times and get website like this and gambling websites show up on my statement...maybe its not that he hs been on these sites but card has been cloned?

Ring your bank and they can investigate, I do hope for your sake he hasnt been naughty

x

I've had my card cloned as well, they went on a shopping spree:dohh:

i'm going to go down the bank next week.
his friends do stuff like this, as does his 45 year old, married, father of two, brother, and the day this payment was made he was out with his brother!
they can't have picked someone particularly nice if she's only charging a tenner?

Maybe someone else grabbed his card and used it?
Seems like a scam to me.

emma sorry if i sounded harsh there i just reread what i wrote :hugs:

i hope its not that for your sake i just had experience like this with an ex. so you cancelling the card and ordering a new one, youll know if its him or not x

he's really 'on the ball' with money in that account as well, so he'd notice if £10 had gone and he hadn't spent it.
it's okay griffinh, i know what you meant! :)
i've just said to him i'm going to the bank next week so if it was him just tell me before i go around saying my card's been cloned!

I'd hate to say it but if I were you I would totally think he was doing something shady as in my experience your instinct are usually right. I certainly hope he isn't but I would just prepare yourself for the worse. I deliberately don't look in my husbands phone because I don't want to find anything out that would upset me-as long as he isn't gay (not against gay ppl just not my husband-which happens!) or cheating on my with another female in person I'd rather just not want to know. I'm sorry if this sounds inconsiderate but I'm being honest on how I would feel if I were you-but maybe he really didn't do anything! Either way, good luck girl hoping for the best.
