advice desperately wanted please

Hi,

I had a d&c 10 days ago after losing my baby at 10 weeks.

I am desperate to try again. (i already have a 2 year old daughter who i had no problems with - so wasn't expecting this to happen)

I know the dr told me it could take up to 4 weeks to get af back, but i am almost positive i am ovulating today. After tracking ovulating symptoms to get pregnant in the first place i am pretty sure i am right.

I want to wait until my second af to try again, but am now really worried my af will be coming after only 3 weeks. Although if it does i will be delighted, i am worried that it is coming back too quickly and if i did get pregnant soon after d & c same thing will happen again.

i would greatly appreciate any advice from anyone who has gone through this before.

Sorry for your loss. After my miscarriages I was advised to have at least one af before trying again. gave me time to physically and mentally recover . Know some ladies on here have tried again straight away. Good luck

If you are ovulating today, I wouldn't have thought your period would come for a week or so yet (although I'm not sure how it works after a miscarriage).

I had my ERPC on 29 December and me and my husband are trying again straight away. The doctor said I should wait 3 or 4 months(!!) but there is no way I can wait that long and they also gave me a leaflet from the Miscarriage Association that says if you do get pregnant again straight away, there should be no greater risk of a miscarriage, unless there is some medical reason for you miscarrying.

im not sure about D&C but when i had a natural M/C my GP said it was fine to try again after the bleeding stopped. i got my period 6 weeks after the m/c but havent convieved yet.

They only advise to wait a month or 2 for dating reasons.

After having a natural miscarriage my Ob advised me to wait to have 3 normal cycles first.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had my ERPC in December, and I was told that I had to wait til my next AF before we try again. Mainly for dating purposes. I decided to follow this advice. arrived 28 days later on the dot.
I had CM around the same time as you, but I read somewhere that you may not ovulate during this first cycle after a m/c but the body still gives off the signs.
Anyway, hope this helps

a friend told me they usually tell you to wait so it's easier to calculate when you got pregnant, but it can happen before your next period. I think if your body is ready it'll happen but it may be helpful emotionally to give things a break? i know its hard when you just want it to happen though. waiting can be tough.

I know the feeling of wanting to try again right away... after my D&C my doc advised me to wait 2 full cycles... it was hard to wait, but I did it because I imagined myself getting pregnant right away and I would have been so worried that I should have waited. But each person is different.
