advice needed... evening primrose oil

Hi me and my OH have been ttc for a long time now and will be starting on meds in May if nothings happened by then, but in the mean time I want to try whatever I can to help things along myself, I quit smoking, I rarely drink, I eat really healthy and take folic acid, now iv heard epo increases CM and helps ov, iv also heard it can delay ov and has some negative side effects too, has anyone tried EPO? Did u notice any effects with it?

I did try it for a couple of months... I ovulated a day earlier and had ewcm increase but stopped taking it as is gave me headaches x

I tried it. Like Indiapops, I had an increase in cm. But it made my very regular cycle irregular. I also felt very hormonal while taking it (like 24/7 pms). If you have irregular periods anyway, you might find it helpful, but if your periods are regular, it will make charting your cycle more difficult. If you are going to try a supplement, I would try fertilityblend instead. My friend swears by it. She struggled with infertility for two years and got pregnant after three months on it. But again, people report it throws their cycle off. Good luck.

I have been on EPO for a couple of cycles now (from CD1 to O, 500 x 3 times a day). noticed considerable ewcm increase during the first cycle but not so much during the second. I noticed no side effects so far

Careful with EPO if you're on any other meds, it does interact with other prescribed medications. I know some ladies have had success with more natural things like green tea and grapefruit. I've been successful with cough syrup (expectorant with guaifenesin). Good luck!

thanks for the advice everyone, thought id check it out in holland and barrat an i actually came away with agnus cactus and raspberry leaf tea, apparently there both better for increasing fertility and actually the woman i spoke to said EPO is the worst thing to take for side effects, is anyone else taking either of these?
