Advice on how to my ds to take more formula

Hi My son is 12weeks old.
up until about a week ago he was taking 5-6oz of milk. it went from 6oz most feeds to 5oz most feeds and now hes taking 4oz some feeds. i'm a bit worried about this as it says on the box of formula at his weight he should be having 5 6oz bottles a day. he has 4 bottles most days of 4-6oz but its normally 4-5oz its a struggle to get him to take 5oz some feeds nevermind 6oz.

So i am worried he is getting a lot less than what he should be having. he sleeps 10-12hrs at night, seems satisifed between feeds and is putting on weight but its slowing down now. (although this is normal hv told me)

Is there a way to get Lo to take more more without forcing him? he has feeds every 3hours, i dont know weather to try maybe every 3.5hours maybe he will take more? or just keep doing as i am.
he has always started guring for a feed 3hours after the last feed.

sometimes he fusses a bit at the bottle like arching his back a bit but he has already been winded and the teat is fine (variflow) cos hes been using it no probs for 3weeks.

any tips? feel bit stupid asking this as its my third but i didnt have this prob with my first and my second was bfed x

I would just keep going a u are, the info on the boxes are a very rough guide. My baby is 6 weeks and doesn't drink what it says on the box, aslong as there is no massive weight lose I wouldn't worry xx

he used to gain 7-8oz a week but used to take a lot more.
now he has been gaining 5oz a week and taking less.

It's totally normal for their growth to slow down and even out x

yeah thats what hv said. im not really that worried about that more how hes drinking less than he used to, bit confused by it tbh.

Rhys randomly goes through times like that. Sometimes he takes as little as 2-3 ounces each feed throughout the day! Other times he takes 5-6 ounces. I would continue as you are, as long as he is satisfied and gaining weight I wouldn't worry over it :)
