I haven't read this whole thread but I'll give you my 2 cents as to what I'd do.

If you question your OH about it, what's the likelihood that he'll tell you straight out what's been going on? He clearly is flirting and clearly does have something to hide, or else why would he have changed his password on facebook? I think if you were to ask him, he'd probably spin you some far-fetched excuse, I know what men are like.

Personally I'd just give him the boot, he knows in his heart of hearts what he's done. I'd message her boyfriend and show him the email, he can decide himself what to do. After that I'd remove yourself from the entire situation and get on with things on your own.
