Hi, can anyone tell me what is likely to happen next.

I went to my GP as we have had 2 MC's this year, both ending at 17dpo. As I'm now 37 and this is our 11 cycle, and as my cycles are 25 days with a 10 day LP, he has referred me to the gyne at the local hospital(that and that I was almost crying at him! lol)

I wasn't sure if its these I need to see? or is there some kind of specialist fertility clinic?
Will they take me seriously as I have already have one healthy pg?
What kind of tests are they likely to do?

Sorry for all the questions, but I hate going into anything blind

Hi Melly! I went to my doctor after several months of TTC without success. She referred me to a fertility doctor at a Fertility Clinic. I can tell you from my experience I did a series of blood tests, ultrasounds, an HSG to see if my tubes were blocked and my husband did a semen analysis. It's been a really positive experience so far.

I think that if you do go to a fertility clinic they will take you very seriously!! I actually worried about the same thing for myself... I'm 30 have been trying for 9 months and have never had any pregnancies before. (they see a lot of women over 35 at this clinic) At first the doctor thought I could go away and try on my own for another few months, but I wanted to check that everything was okay to ease my mind. The tests showed that I have a thyroid issue and my CM was not letting OH's sperm get through. We ended up doing an IUI 10 days ago and I believe this is the route we will have to TTC from here on out. I'm so glad I did the tests and caught these small issues that could have gone unnoticed for months!
I hope this helps! Best of luck to you! Xoxo

What type of test is done for CM? I've done the HSG, blood work for hormones, etc., but never offered a CM check. I'm on the IUI road now too, so maybe I can skip the CM test but I'm just curious...

The CM test is called a cervical insemination or C.I. They basically took a drop of my EWCM just before ovulation and a drop of OH's sperm and mixed them together under a microscope. This was hooked up to a TV screen and we could see the sperm was not getting through either because my CM is too thick or just the chemistry between OH and I. Doing an IUI bypasses the CM completely avoiding the problem.

So should I be sent to a fertility clinic rather than just seeing the gyne at my local hospital? I think my nearest fc is Nottingham, which is about 3 hours away.

You might need to see the OBGYN first. My fertility clinic only takes clients on referral from OBGYN.
